A. Forward-ACT Isolation Valve is OFF in the Closed Position
(1) On refuel/defuel control panel 801VU, put the REFUEL VALVE selector switches of ACT AFT2 and ACT FWD to SHUT position.
(3) On the line end of the electrical connector A, install a BRIDGE-WIRE (shunt) on the electrical connector (3) between the pins B and E.
(4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(5) Safety the electrical connectors (3) and (4) to the adjacent electrical harness with a TIE WRAP(S).
(6) Do a visual check of the see/feel indicator of the isolation valve actuator (2) to identify the position of the valve:
(8) Loosen the screw (5) and disconnect the V-clamp (6) from the V-flange of the forward isolation valve (1).
(9) Remove the O-ring (7) and discard it.
(10) Remove the isolation valve actuator (2) from the forward isolation valve (1).
(11) Manually turn the input pin of the forward isolation valve (1) to the closed position.
(12) Install the T720456 TOOL - VALVE LOCKING on the V-flange of the forward isolation valve (1) to lock it in the closed position.
(13) Install the V-clamp (6) on the shaft of the forward isolation valve (1).
(14) Tighten the screw (5) to safety the T720456 TOOL - VALVE LOCKING on the valve.
14QFC1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES - .
5. Close-upNOTE: The forward-ACT isolation valve can stay in the closed position if there is no fuel in the ACT FWD. In this case do the subsequent procedure.
(1) On refuel/defuel control panel 801VU, put the REFUEL VALVE selector switches of ACT AFT2 and ACT FWD to SHUT position.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) and (4) from the receptacle of the isolation valve actuator (2).
- See/feel indicator in horizontal position: the isolation valve is OPEN
- See/feel indicator in vertical position: the isolation valve is CLOSED.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
