A. Safety Precautions
WARNING: BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
   (1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank.
   (2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
   (3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to operate the MLG doors is in position.
Subtask 28-26-43-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the center tank and the applicable wing tank are defueled (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
   (2) Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained from the applicable wing tank and the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
   (3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is below the applicable access panel 147AZ (148AZ).
   (4) Make sure that the applicable MLG door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (5) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the applicable MLG door actuating cylinder.
   (6) Make sure that the applicable access doors on the access panels 195AB (196AB) are open.
   (7) Make sure that the applicable access panel 147AZ (148AZ) is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).
   (8) Make sure that the actuator (9) is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-26-51-000-001).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the center tank and the applicable wing tank are defueled (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
   (2) Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained from the applicable wing tank and the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
   (3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is below the ACT-Equipment Support Door or the access panel 148AZ.
   (4) Make sure that the applicable MLG door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (5) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the applicable MLG door actuating cylinder.
   (6) Make sure that the applicable access doors on the access panels 195AB (196AB) are open.
   (7) Make sure that the ACT-Equipment Support Door or access panel 148AZ is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).
   (8) Make sure that the actuator (9) is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-26-51-000-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 28-26-43-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) If necessary, install the nut (18) on the valve (21) and install the retaining ring (17).
   (5) Lubricate the new AIPC 28-26-05-06-070 O-RING (5) or AIPC 28-26-85-06-100 O-RING (5) with Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) .
   (6) Install the new O-ring (5) on the valve (21).
   (7) Lubricate the new AIPC 28-26-05-04-040 O-RING (19) or AIPC 28-26-85-04-030 O-RING (19) with Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) .
   (8) Install the O-ring (19) on the valve (21).
Subtask 28-26-43-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Installation of the Jet Pump Fuel Control Valve 153QM (154QM)
   (1) Remove the blanking caps from the pipes (1) and (16) and from the valve (21).
   (2) Lubricate the new AIPC 28-26-05-05-160 O-RING (2) with Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) .
   (3) Install the new O-ring (23) in the flange of the pipe (1).
   (4) Install the valve (21) on the bottom skin (6).
   (5) Install the pipe (1) on the valve (21) with the bolts (24) and the nuts (22).
   (6) Install the pipe (16) on the valve (21) and fully tighten the nut (18).
   (7) Connect the bonding lead (3) to the valve (21) with the bolt (2) and the nut (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (8) Connect the bonding lead (13) and the bonding lead (14) to the valve (21) with the bolt (20) and the nut (15) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (9) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet - (Material No.06ABB1) to the flange of the drive sub-assembly (7).
   (10) Install the drive sub-assembly (7) with the nuts (8).
   (11) Connect the bonding lead (11) with the bolt (12) and the nut (10) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (12) Install the actuator (9) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-26-51-400-001).
Subtask 28-26-43-420-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Installation of Jet-Pump Fuel Control-Valve 153QM (154QM)
   (1) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the pipes (1) and (16) and the valve (21).
   (2) Lubricate a new AIPC 28-26-05-05-160 O-RING (2) with Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) .
   (3) Install the new O-ring (23) in the flange of the pipe (1).
   (4) Install the valve (21) on the bottom skin (6).
   (5) Install the pipe (1) on the valve (21) with the bolts (24) and the nuts (22).
   (6) TORQUE the bolts (24) to between 1.06 and 0.82 m.daN (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in ) T with a 98D28004088000 FUEL PUMP ELBOW.
   (7) If removed, install the retaining ring (17) and the nut (18).
   (8) Install the pipe (16) on the valve (21) and fully tighten the nut (18).
   (9) Connect the bonding lead (3) to the valve (21) with the bolt (2) and the nut (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (10) Tighten the nut (4).
   (11) Connect the bonding leads (13) and (14) to the valve (21) with the bolt (20) and the nut (15) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (12) Tighten the nut (15).
   (13) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet - (Material No.06ABB1) to the flange of the drive sub-assembly (7).
   (14) Install the drive sub-assembly (7) with the nuts (8).
   (15) TORQUE the nuts (8) to between 0.8 and 0.7 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in ) T.
   (16) Connect the bonding lead (11) with the bolt (12) and the nut (10) (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (17) Tighten the nut (10).
   (18) Install the actuator (9) on the drive sub-assembly (7) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-26-51-400-001).

C. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-001):
     (a) FOR [153QM] (FUEL CONTROL VALVE-JET PUMP, L WING TK)
install 147AZ
     (b) FOR [154QM] (FUEL CONTROL VALVE-JET PUMP, R WING TK)
install 148AZ.
   (3) Close the applicable access door on the access panel 195AB(196AB) (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-002):
     (a) FOR [153QM] (FUEL CONTROL VALVE-JET PUMP, L WING TK)
close 195BB
     (b) FOR [154QM] (FUEL CONTROL VALVE-JET PUMP, R WING TK)

   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
   (5) Close the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
