A. Safety Precautions

WARNING: BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank.
(2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear doors.

B. Fuel Configuration
(1) Defuel the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

C. Get Access
(1) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the applicable MLG door actuating-cylinder.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable access panel 147AZ (148AZ).
(4) Remove the applicable access panel 147AZ (148AZ) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).

C. Get Access
(1) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the applicable MLG door actuating-cylinder.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the ACT-Equipment Support Door or access panel 148AZ.
(4) Remove the ACT-Equipment Support Door or access panel 148AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 28-26-42-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Jet Pump Strainer 220QM (221QM)
(1) Remove the jet pump (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-26-41-000-001).
(2) Remove the strainer (2) from the platinum assembly (3).
