A. Safety Precautions

WARNING: BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work in a fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001).
(2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the MLG doors.

Subtask 28-26-41-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the center tank is defueled (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained from the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
(3) Make sure that the applicable MLG door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(4) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the applicable MLG door actuating-cylinder.
(5) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is below the applicable access panel 147AZ (148AZ).
(6) Make sure that the applicable access panel 147AZ (148AZ) is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).

Subtask 28-26-41-860-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the center tank is defueled (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained from the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
(3) Make sure that the applicable MLG door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(4) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the applicable MLG door actuating-cylinder.
(5) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is below the ACT-Equipment Support Door or access panel 148AZ.
(6) Make sure that the ACT-Equipment Support Door or access panel 148AZ is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 28-26-41-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Center Tank Jet Pump 157QM (158QM)
(1) Remove the blanking caps from the jet pump (1).
(2) Install the jet pump (1) with the washers (9) and the bolts (8).
(3) Remove the blanking cap from the pipe (4).
(4) Lubricate the new AIPC 28-26-05-04-040 O-RING (2) or AIPC 28-26-85-04-030 O-RING (2) with Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) .
(5) Install the new O-ring (2) on the pipe (4).
(6) Install the pipe (4) into the jet pump (1).
(7) Tighten the nut (3).
(8) Remove the blanking cap from the pipe (16).
(9) Put the nut (14) on the jet pump (1).
(10) Install the retaining ring (15) on the jet pump (1).
(11) Lubricate the new AIPC 28-26-05-04-120 O-RING (13) or AIPC 28-26-85-04-110 O-RING (13) with Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) .
(12) Install the new O-ring (13) on the jet pump (1).
(13) Install the pipe (16) onto the jet pump (1).
(14) Tighten the nut (14).
(15) Install the bonding lead (6) with the bolt (5) and the nut (7) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(16) Install the bonding lead (10) with the bolt (11) and the nut (12) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

C. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-001):
(a) FOR [157QM] (JET PUMP-L, CENTER TANK)
install 147AZ
(b) FOR [158QM] (JET PUMP-R, CENTER TANK)
install 148AZ.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).

Subtask 28-26-41-410-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

C. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-001):
(a) FOR [157QM] (JET PUMP-L, CENTER TANK)
install the ACT-Equipment Support Door
(b) FOR [158QM] (JET PUMP-R, CENTER TANK)
install 148AZ.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).

A. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
