   (1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.

   (1) Make sure that the access door 622KB is open.
NOTE: Do not keep the door open longer than necessary because the battery can discharge.

   (1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
   (2) Make sure that access door 192MB is open.
     (a) Do not keep the door open longer than necessary because the battery can discharge.
   (3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are on control panels that follow, to tell persons not to operate the refuel/defuel system:
  • Refuel/defuel panel 800VU
  • Fuel control panel 40VU.

4. Procedure
Subtask 28-25-58-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
   (2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

B. Installation of the Refuel Panel 801VU
F Refuel/Defuel Control Panel ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
F Refuel/Defuel Control Panel ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Remove the blanking caps.
   (2) Apply a thin layer of Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) to the mating surface of the refuel panel (2) and the instrument rack.
   (3) Connect the electrical connector (1) to the refuel panel (2).
   (4) Put the refuel panel (2) in position on the instrument rack.
   (5) Lock the fasteners (3).

B. Installation of Refuel Panel 801VU
F Refuel Panel 801VU ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
   (2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE CONNECTOR PINS OR OTHER CONDUCTORS ON THE COMPONENT DURING THE PROCEDURE. IF YOU TOUCH THESE CONDUCTORS, ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO COMPONENT.
   (4) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (5) Apply a thin layer of Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) to the mating surface of the refuel panel (2) and the instrument rack.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (6) Connect the electrical connector (1) to the refuel panel (2).
   (7) Put the refuel panel (2) in position on the instrument rack.
   (8) Lock the fasteners (3).

   (1) Do an operational test of the refuel/defuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-710-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-710-003).

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close access door 192MB.

   (2) On refuel/defuel control panel 800VU, on fuel control panel 40VU:
     (a) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
