Installation of the Refuel Panel


WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE FLIGHT CONTROL SAFETY-LOCKS AND THE WARNING NOTICES ARE IN POSITION.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

   (1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that access door 192MB is open.
NOTE: If you operate the access door with the battery power, Airbus recommends you not to keep the door open for a longer time than necessary.
If you operate the door for a longer time, the power of the battery will decrease.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is below zone 622.
   (2) Make sure that the access panel 622KB is open.
NOTE: If operating in battery power, do not keep the door open longer than necessary because the battery can discharge.

4. Procedure
Subtask 28-25-55-420-050-A
A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Refuel Panel 800VU
   (1) Remove all the CAP - BLANKING.
   (2) Connect the electrical connectors (1) and (2) to the refuel panel (3).
   (3) Put the refuel panel (3) in position on the instrument rack.
   (4) Lock the fasteners (4).

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

   (1) Do an operational test of the Refuel/Defuel System (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-710-002) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-710-003).

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close access door 192MB.

   (2) Close the access door 622KB.

B. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Remove the safety barriers.
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
