A. Safety Precautions
WARNING: BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
   (1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank.
   (2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
   (3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the main gear doors.

B. Fuel Configuration
   (1) Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
   (2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
Subtask 28-25-52-010-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Get Access
   (1) Open the main landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable MLG door actuating-cylinder.
   (3) Remove the center tank access panel 148AZ, (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).
   (4) Remove the refuel valve (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-51-000-002).
Subtask 28-25-52-010-051-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Get Access
   (1) Open the main landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable MLG door actuating-cylinder.
   (3) Remove the center tank access panel 148AZ, (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).
   (4) Remove the refuel valve (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-51-000-002).
4. Procedure
Subtask 28-25-52-020-053-A
A. Removal of the Refuel Valve Canister (88QM)
   (1) Remove the nut (5), the screw (9), the washer (7) and disconnect the bonding straps (6) and (8).
   (2) Remove the bolts (1), the washers (2) and disconnect the elbow (3).
   (3) Remove and discard the O-ring (4).
   (4) Remove the bolt (11), the washer (10) and disconnect the elbow (12).
   (5) Remove and discard the O-ring (13).
   (6) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
   (7) Remove the screws (16).
   (8) Remove the refuel valve canister (14).
   (9) Remove and discard the O-ring (15).
