A. Safety Precautions
WARNING: BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
   (1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank.
   (2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.

B. Fuel Configuration
   (1) Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
   (2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

D. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position below the applicable access panel 540JB (640JB).
   (2) Remove the applicable wing access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-002):

     (a) FOR [19QM] (CANISTER-REFUEL VALVE, L WING TK)
remove 540JB

     (b) FOR [20QM] (CANISTER-REFUEL VALVE, R WING TK)
remove 640JB.
   (3) Remove the refuel valve (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-51-000-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 28-25-52-020-054-A
A. Removal of the Refuel Valve Canister 19QM (20QM)
   (1) Remove the nut (4), the screw (5) and disconnect the bonding straps (1) and (6).
   (2) Remove the bolts (2) and disconnect the adapter (14).
   (3) Remove and discard the O-ring (3).
   (4) Remove the bolts (9) and disconnect the elbow (8).
   (5) Remove and discard the O-ring (7).
   (6) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
   (7) Remove the screws (12) and the spacer (13).
   (8) Remove the refuel valve canister (10).
   (9) Remove and discard the O-ring (11).
