WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FLIGHT CONTROL SAFETY-LOCKS AND THE WARNING NOTICES ARE IN POSITION.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
(2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate the MLG doors.
Subtask 28-25-51-860-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001). (2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate the MLG doors.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the left MLG-door actuating-cylinder.
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at zone 148.
(4) If installed, remove the protective cover from the ACT-equipment support door (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-003).
Subtask 28-25-51-860-054-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR ARE CLEAR.
(1) Make sure that the left Main Landing Gear (MLG) door 734 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001). (2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the left MLG-door actuating-cylinder.
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at zone 148.
(4) If installed, remove the protective cover from the ACT-equipment support door (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-003).
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the left Main Landing Gear (MLG) door 734 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the left MLG-door actuating-cylinder.
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the zone 147.
(4) Make sure that the access cover 147AZ is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).
Subtask 28-25-51-865-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the left Main Landing Gear (MLG) door 734 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Lubricate the new AIPC 28-25-51-01-010 O-RING (9) and the internal surface of the valve canister with Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) .
(5) Install the O-ring (9) on the refuel valve (2).
Subtask 28-25-51-420-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

(4) Lubricate the new AIPC 28-25-51-01-010 O-RING (9) and the internal surface of the valve canister with Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) .
(5) Install the O-ring (9) on the refuel valve (2).
B. Installation of the Refuel Valve 41QU
(1) Install the refuel valve (2) in the valve canister.
(2) Install the nuts (3).
(3) Torque the nuts (3) to between 0.80 and 0.70 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in )
.
(4) Use the screw (7), the nut (4) and the washers (5) and (8) to attach the bonding strap (1) to the refuel valve (2).
(5) Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connector (6).
(7) Do a check of the electrical bonding (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
Subtask 28-25-51-420-057-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the refuel valve (2) in the valve canister.
(2) Install the nuts (3).
(3) Torque the nuts (3) to between 0.80 and 0.70 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in )
. (4) Use the screw (7), the nut (4) and the washers (5) and (8) to attach the bonding strap (1) to the refuel valve (2).
(5) Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connector (6).
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(6) Install the electrical connector (6). (7) Do a check of the electrical bonding (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
C. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Lubricate the internal surface of the valve canister with Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) or Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) .
Subtask 28-25-51-420-058-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

D. Installation of Refuel Valve 41QU
(1) Install the refuel valve (2) in the valve canister.
(2) Install the nuts (3).
(3) TORQUE the nuts (3) to between 0.9 and 0.75 m.daN (79.65 and 66.37 lbf.in )
.
(4) Use the screw (6), the washer (7) and the nut (4) to attach the bonding lead (1) to the refuel valve (2).
(5) TORQUE the nut (4) to between 3.22 and 2.69 m.daN (23.75 and 19.84 lbf.ft )
.
(6) Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connector (5).
(8) Do a check of the electrical bonding (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
Subtask 28-25-51-865-061-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the refuel valve (2) in the valve canister.
(2) Install the nuts (3).
(3) TORQUE the nuts (3) to between 0.9 and 0.75 m.daN (79.65 and 66.37 lbf.in )
. (4) Use the screw (6), the washer (7) and the nut (4) to attach the bonding lead (1) to the refuel valve (2).
(5) TORQUE the nut (4) to between 3.22 and 2.69 m.daN (23.75 and 19.84 lbf.ft )

(7) Connect the electrical connector (5). (8) Do a check of the electrical bonding (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
E. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

F. Test
(1) If the ACT is installed:
(a) Refuel the ACT (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003).
(b) Make sure there are no leaks from the refuel valve (2).
(2) If the ACT is not installed:
(a) Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) closed:
(c) On the refuel/defuel control panel 800VU:
(e) Put the ROD - NON METALLIC through the ACT-equipment door cover and push and hold the manual plunger on the refuel valve (2).
(f) On the panel 40VU, set the ACT AUTO P/BSW 24QH to the FWD position.
(j) Make sure that there are no leaks from the refuel valve (2).
(k) On the panel 40VU, set the ACT AUTO P/BSW 24QH to the OFF position.
(l) Release the manual plunger on the refuel valve (2).
(m) Remove the ROD - NON METALLIC from the ACT-equipment door cover.
(n) On the refuel/defuel control panel 800VU:
(p) Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
Subtask 28-25-51-710-054-E ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If the ACT is installed:
(a) Refuel the ACT (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003).
(b) Make sure there are no leaks from the refuel valve (2).
(2) If the ACT is not installed:
(a) Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) closed:
- 9QH
- 25QH
- 30QH
- 33QU.
(c) On the refuel/defuel control panel 800VU:
- Lift the guard and put the MODE SELECT switch in the DEFUEL XFR position. Make sure that the OPEN light comes on.
(e) Put the ROD - NON METALLIC through the ACT-equipment door cover and push and hold the manual plunger on the refuel valve (2).
(f) On the panel 40VU, set the ACT AUTO P/BSW 24QH to the FWD position.
NOTE: The FWD light will not illuminate.
(g) In the MLG bay, make sure that the: - ACT Pump 1QH is in operation
- Indicator on the ACT transfer-valve actuator 165QM is in the open position.
- Fuel quantity in the RH wing tank decreases
- Fuel quantity in the center tank increases.
(j) Make sure that there are no leaks from the refuel valve (2).
(k) On the panel 40VU, set the ACT AUTO P/BSW 24QH to the OFF position.
(l) Release the manual plunger on the refuel valve (2).
(m) Remove the ROD - NON METALLIC from the ACT-equipment door cover.
(n) On the refuel/defuel control panel 800VU:
- Put the MODE SELECT switch to the OFF and guarded position. Make sure that the OPEN light goes off.
(p) Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
F. Test(s)
(1) If the ACT(s) is (are) installed:
(a) Refuel the ACT(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003).
(b) Make sure there are no leaks in the refuel valve (2).
(2) If the ACT(s) is (are) not installed:
(a) Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) closed:
(c) Make sure that the right wing tank contains a minimum of 2000 kg (4409 lb) of fuel. If necessary, refuel (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003) or transfer the fuel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001).
(d) On refuel/defuel control-panel 800VU:
(f) Put the ROD - NON METALLIC through the ACT equipment door-cover. Push and hold the manual plunger on the refuel valve (2).
(g) On HYD/FUEL panel 40VU, set ACT AUTO pushbutton-switch 24QH to the FWD position.
(k) Make sure that there are no leaks in the refuel valve (2).
(l) On HYD/FUEL panel 40VU, set ACT AUTO pushbutton-switch 24QH to the OFF position.
(m) Release the manual plunger of the ACT refuel valve (2).
(n) Remove the ROD - NON METALLIC from the ACT equipment-door cover.
(o) Make sure that the indicator on the ACT refuel valve (2) is in the closed position.
(p) Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):
(s) Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
5. Close-up(1) If the ACT(s) is (are) installed:
(a) Refuel the ACT(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003).
(b) Make sure there are no leaks in the refuel valve (2).
(2) If the ACT(s) is (are) not installed:
(a) Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) closed:
- 9QH
- 30QH
- 60QH
- 70QH
- 33QU.
(c) Make sure that the right wing tank contains a minimum of 2000 kg (4409 lb) of fuel. If necessary, refuel (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003) or transfer the fuel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001).
(d) On refuel/defuel control-panel 800VU:
- Lift the guard and put the MODE SELECT switch in the DEFUEL XFR position. Make sure that the OPEN light comes on.
(f) Put the ROD - NON METALLIC through the ACT equipment door-cover. Push and hold the manual plunger on the refuel valve (2).
(g) On HYD/FUEL panel 40VU, set ACT AUTO pushbutton-switch 24QH to the FWD position.
NOTE: The FWD light will not come on.
(h) In the MLG bay, make sure that: - ACT pump 1QH is in operation.
- The indicator on ACT transfer-valve-actuator 6QH is in the open position.
- Fuel quantity in the right wing tank decreases
- Fuel quantity in the center tank increases.
(k) Make sure that there are no leaks in the refuel valve (2).
(l) On HYD/FUEL panel 40VU, set ACT AUTO pushbutton-switch 24QH to the OFF position.
(m) Release the manual plunger of the ACT refuel valve (2).
(n) Remove the ROD - NON METALLIC from the ACT equipment-door cover.
(o) Make sure that the indicator on the ACT refuel valve (2) is in the closed position.
(p) Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):
- 60QH
- 70QH.
- Put the MODE SELECT switch to the OFF and guarded position. Make sure that the OPEN light goes off.
(s) Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
- 60QH
- 70QH.
Subtask 28-25-51-650-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Fuel Configuration
(1) Refuel, defuel or transfer the fuel as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003), (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001).
Subtask 28-25-51-410-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Refuel, defuel or transfer the fuel as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003), (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001).
B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) If removed, install the protective cover of the ACT-equipment support door (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-003).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK from the left MLG-door actuating-cylinder.
(5) Close the left MLG door 734 (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
Subtask 28-25-51-410-053-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) If removed, install the protective cover of the ACT-equipment support door (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-003).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK from the left MLG-door actuating-cylinder.
(5) Close the left MLG door 734 (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access cover 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-001).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK from the left MLG-door actuating-cylinder.
(5) Close the left MLG door 734 (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
Subtask 28-25-51-942-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access cover 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-001).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK from the left MLG-door actuating-cylinder.
(5) Close the left MLG door 734 (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
C. Removal of Equipment
(1) If used, remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
