Installation of the Solenoid Valve
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FLIGHT CONTROL SAFETY-LOCKS AND THE WARNING NOTICES ARE IN POSITION.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
(2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the slats.
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the main gear doors.
Subtask 28-25-51-860-053-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001). (2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the slats.
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the main gear doors.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) For the solenoid valve of the refuel valve 10QU:
(a) Make sure that the main gear doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(b) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable main gear door actuator.
(c) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) is below the refuel valve 10QU.
(2) For the solenoid valve of the refuel valve 7QU (8QU):
(a) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) is in position below the applicable access panel 522JB (622JB).
(b) Make sure that the applicable access panel 522JB (622JB) is removed.
Subtask 28-25-51-860-053-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) For the solenoid valve of the refuel valve 10QU:
(a) Make sure that the main gear doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(b) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable main gear door actuator.
(c) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) is below the refuel valve 10QU.
(2) For the solenoid valve of the refuel valve 7QU (8QU):
(a) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) is in position below the applicable access panel 522JB (622JB).
(b) Make sure that the applicable access panel 522JB (622JB) is removed.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) For the solenoid valve of refuel valve 41QU:
(a) Make sure that the MLG doors are open and the safety devices installed (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(b) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is in position at zone 148.
(c) Make sure the protective cover for the ACT-equipment support door is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-003).
(d) Make sure that the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is below the refuel valve.
4. Procedure(1) For the solenoid valve of refuel valve 41QU:
(a) Make sure that the MLG doors are open and the safety devices installed (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(b) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is in position at zone 148.
(c) Make sure the protective cover for the ACT-equipment support door is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-003).
(d) Make sure that the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is below the refuel valve.
Subtask 28-25-51-420-056-A
A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Lubricate the new AIPC 28-25-51-01-060 O-RING (5) and the new AIPC 28-25-51-01-050 O-RING (6) with Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) .
(5) Install the O-rings (5) and (6) on the solenoid valve (4).
Subtask 28-25-51-420-053-A (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Lubricate the new AIPC 28-25-51-01-060 O-RING (5) and the new AIPC 28-25-51-01-050 O-RING (6) with Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) .
(5) Install the O-rings (5) and (6) on the solenoid valve (4).
B. Installation of the Solenoid Valve
(1) Install the solenoid valve (4) in the refuel valve (7).
(2) Install the washers (3) and the bolts (2).
(3) Tighten the bolts (2).
(4) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
Subtask 28-25-51-650-059-A (1) Install the solenoid valve (4) in the refuel valve (7).
(2) Install the washers (3) and the bolts (2).
(3) Tighten the bolts (2).
(4) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(5) Install the electrical connector (1). C. Preparation for Test
(1) If necessary, defuel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or transfer fuel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001) so that the applicable tank has space for 250 kg (551 lb) of the fuel.

D. Test
(1) Refuel (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003) the applicable fuel tank with 250 kg (551 lb) of fuel.
(2) While you refuel the applicable tank monitor the applicable refuel valve for leaks.

Subtask 28-25-51-410-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) For the refuel valve 7QU (8QU):
(a) Install the applicable access panel 522JB (622JB).
(2) For the refuel valve 10QU:
(a) Remove the safety devices and close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
Subtask 28-25-51-410-052-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) For the refuel valve 7QU (8QU):
(a) Install the applicable access panel 522JB (622JB).
(2) For the refuel valve 10QU:
(a) Remove the safety devices and close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the protective cover (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-003).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the safety devices and close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
Subtask 28-25-51-650-054-A (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the protective cover (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-003).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the safety devices and close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
B. Fuel Configuration
(1) Refuel, defuel or transfer fuel as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003), (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001).

C. Removal of Equipment
