Installation of the Refuel Valve
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FLIGHT CONTROL SAFETY-LOCKS AND THE WARNING NOTICES ARE IN POSITION.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
(2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the main gear doors.
Subtask 28-25-51-860-052-A WARNING:
OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001). (2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the main gear doors.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the main gear doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable main gear door actuator.
(3) Make sure that the access platform is in position below the refuel valve (2).
Subtask 28-25-51-865-057-A (1) Make sure that the main gear doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable main gear door actuator.
(3) Make sure that the access platform is in position below the refuel valve (2).

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Lubricate the new AIPC 28-25-51-01-010 O-RING (9) and the internal surface of the valve canister with Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) .
(5) Install the O-ring (9) on the refuel valve (2).
Subtask 28-25-51-420-051-A (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .

(5) Install the O-ring (9) on the refuel valve (2).
B. Installation of the Refuel Valve 10QU
(1) Install the refuel valve (2) in the valve canister.
(2) Install the nuts (3).
(3) Torque the nuts (3) to between 0.80 and 0.70 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in )

(4) Use the screw (7), the nut (4) and the washers (5) and (8) to attach the bonding strap (1) to the refuel valve (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(5) Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connector (6).
(6) Install the electrical connector (6).
Subtask 28-25-51-865-055-A (1) Install the refuel valve (2) in the valve canister.
(2) Install the nuts (3).
(3) Torque the nuts (3) to between 0.80 and 0.70 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in )

(5) Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connector (6).
(6) Install the electrical connector (6).
C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

- transfer fuel into the center tank from the wing tanks (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001).

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close the main landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
