A. Safety Precautions
(2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the main gear doors.
Subtask 28-25-51-010-052-A WARNING:
OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001). (2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the main gear doors.
B. Get Access
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable main gear door actuator.
(3) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the refuel valve (2).
Subtask 28-25-51-865-053-A WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR DOORS ARE CLEAR.
(1) Open the main gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001). (2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable main gear door actuator.
(3) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the refuel valve (2).

A. Removal of the Refuel Valve 10QU
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (6).
(2) Put a blanking cap on the disconnected electrical connector.
(3) Remove the nut (4), the screw (7) and the washers (5) and (8). Disconnect the bonding strap (1).
(4) Remove the nuts (3).
(5) Put a suitable BOLT - AN3 or BOLT - NAS 1801 or BOLT - DIA 10-32UNF X 1.25 IN. LENGTH in each extractor bolt hole in the valve (2).
(6) Tighten the bolts to loosen the refuel valve (2) from the canister.
(7) Carefully remove the refuel valve (2).
(8) Remove the extractor bolts.
(9) Remove and discard the O-ring (9).
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (6).
(2) Put a blanking cap on the disconnected electrical connector.
(3) Remove the nut (4), the screw (7) and the washers (5) and (8). Disconnect the bonding strap (1).
(4) Remove the nuts (3).
(5) Put a suitable BOLT - AN3 or BOLT - NAS 1801 or BOLT - DIA 10-32UNF X 1.25 IN. LENGTH in each extractor bolt hole in the valve (2).
(6) Tighten the bolts to loosen the refuel valve (2) from the canister.
(7) Carefully remove the refuel valve (2).
(8) Remove the extractor bolts.
(9) Remove and discard the O-ring (9).
