A. Safety Precautions

WARNING: BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank.
(2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.

B. Fuel Configuration
(1) Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable access panel 540KB 640KB.
(2) Remove the applicable access panel 540KB(640KB) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-002).

4. Procedure
Subtask 28-25-47-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Spill-Pipe Check-Valve
(1) Loosen the clamp (2) and move it up and off the check valve (3).
(2) Remove the check valve (3) from the pipe (1) and remove the clamp (2).
