A. Safety Precautions
(2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.

BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank. (2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
B. Fuel Configuration
(1) Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001)
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position below the applicable access panel 540HB 640HB.
(2) Remove the applicable access panel 540HB(640HB) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-46-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position below the applicable access panel 540HB 640HB.
(2) Remove the applicable access panel 540HB(640HB) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-46-000-001).

A. Removal of the Refuel Spill-Pipe Diffuser
(1) Remove the nuts (4) and the bolts (6) from the bracket.
(2) Remove the bolts (7) and the washers (3) from the support brackets.
(3) Remove the bolt (1) from the attachment bracket.
(4) Remove the bolts (2) from the attachment bracket and remove the refuel spill-pipe diffuser (5).
(1) Remove the nuts (4) and the bolts (6) from the bracket.
(2) Remove the bolts (7) and the washers (3) from the support brackets.
(3) Remove the bolt (1) from the attachment bracket.
(4) Remove the bolts (2) from the attachment bracket and remove the refuel spill-pipe diffuser (5).
