WARNING:
OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.
WARNING:
STOP THE FUEL TANKER 60 m (196.85 ft) FROM THE AIRCRAFT NOSE WHILE THE WEATHER RADAR OPERATES.
DO NOT OPERATE THE FUEL TANKER/PUMP UNIT UNTIL YOU STOP THE OPERATION OF THE WEATHER RADAR.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THE AREA AROUND THE AIRCRAFT IS SAFE BEFORE YOU START THE REFUEL/DEFUEL PROCEDURE. IN THE SAFETY AREA, DO NOT:
- SMOKE
- MAKE SPARKS OR FIRE
- USE ANY EQUIPMENT WHICH IS NOT APPROVED FOR REFUEL/DEFUEL PROCEDURES.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you refuel the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-002).
(3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(4) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the Main Landing Gear (MLG) doors.
Subtask 28-25-00-010-094-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you refuel the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-002).

B. Get Access
(1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable refuel/defuel coupling.
(3) Open applicable refuel panel 192MB, 522KB and 622KB.
Subtask 28-25-00-860-088-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable refuel/defuel coupling.
(3) Open applicable refuel panel 192MB, 522KB and 622KB.
C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the fuel tanker is in the correct position.
(2) Make sure that the aircraft and the fuel tanker/pump unit are grounded (Ref. AMM TASK 12-34-24-869-001) and electrically bonded together correctly.
(4) Make sure that the coupling of the fuel supply hose is clean.
(5) Connect the fuel supply hose to the aircraft.
(6) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(7) Do the EIS start procedure (Upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(8) On the ECAM control panel, push the FUEL P/BSW.
(a) On the lower ECAM DU, the FUEL page comes into view.
(b) Make sure that a maximum of 100 +100 kg or -0 kg (220 +220 lb or +0 lb) fuel is in the ACT.
(c) Make sure that the fuel quantity in the center tank is 5000 +200 kg or -800 kg (11023 +441 lb or -1764 lb).
(9) Do the test of the high level sensing system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-00-710-001).
Subtask 28-25-00-010-094-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the fuel tanker is in the correct position.
(2) Make sure that the aircraft and the fuel tanker/pump unit are grounded (Ref. AMM TASK 12-34-24-869-001) and electrically bonded together correctly.
NOTE: Bonding is mandatory. For grounding you must obey the local area regulations.
(3) Remove the refuel coupling cap 101QM(41QM) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-41-000-001). (4) Make sure that the coupling of the fuel supply hose is clean.
(5) Connect the fuel supply hose to the aircraft.
(6) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(7) Do the EIS start procedure (Upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(8) On the ECAM control panel, push the FUEL P/BSW.
(a) On the lower ECAM DU, the FUEL page comes into view.
(b) Make sure that a maximum of 100 +100 kg or -0 kg (220 +220 lb or +0 lb) fuel is in the ACT.
(c) Make sure that the fuel quantity in the center tank is 5000 +200 kg or -800 kg (11023 +441 lb or -1764 lb).
(9) Do the test of the high level sensing system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-00-710-001).
D. Get Access
(1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below refuel/defuel coupling 40QM.
(3) Open access door 192MB.
Subtask 28-25-00-860-088-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below refuel/defuel coupling 40QM.
(3) Open access door 192MB.
E. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the fuel tanker is in the correct position.
(a) Ground (earth) the fuel tanker/pump unit and the aircraft correctly (Ref. AMM TASK 12-34-24-869-001).
(3) Bond the fuel tanker/pump unit to the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 12-34-24-869-001).
(4) Make sure that the chocks do not touch the tires. The weight of the fuel can lower the aircraft and cause the chocks to catch.
(5) Remove refuel/defuel coupling cap 41QM.
(6) Make sure that the coupling of the fuel supply hose is clean.
(8) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(9) Do the EIS start procedure (Upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(10) On the ECAM control panel, push the FUEL Pushbutton Switch (P/BSW).
(a) On the lower ECAM Display Unit (DU), the FUEL page comes into view.
(b) Make sure that a maximum of 100 +100 kg or -0 kg (220 +220 lb or +0 lb) fuel is in the ACT(s).
(c) Make sure that the fuel quantity in the center tank is 5000 +200 kg or -800 kg (11023 +441 lb or -1764 lb).
(11) Do the test of the high-level sensing system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-00-710-002).
Subtask 28-25-00-865-063-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the fuel tanker is in the correct position.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU BOND THE FUEL TANKER TO THE AIRCRAFT. IF YOU DO NOT, AN ELECTRICAL DISCHARGE CAN OCCUR WHICH CAN CAUSE AN EXPLOSION OR FIRE.
(2) Obey the local regulations for grounding (earthing) the aircraft: (a) Ground (earth) the fuel tanker/pump unit and the aircraft correctly (Ref. AMM TASK 12-34-24-869-001).
(3) Bond the fuel tanker/pump unit to the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 12-34-24-869-001).
(4) Make sure that the chocks do not touch the tires. The weight of the fuel can lower the aircraft and cause the chocks to catch.
(5) Remove refuel/defuel coupling cap 41QM.
(6) Make sure that the coupling of the fuel supply hose is clean.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FUEL SUPPLY HOSE IS CORRECTLY CONNECTED TO THE COUPLING BEFORE YOU REFUEL/DEFUEL THE AIRCRAFT. DO NOT CONNECT THE FUEL SUPPLY HOSE IF THERE ARE SIGNS OF DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT COUPLING LUGS OR SLOTS.
(7) Connect the fuel supply hose to the aircraft. (8) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(9) Do the EIS start procedure (Upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(10) On the ECAM control panel, push the FUEL Pushbutton Switch (P/BSW).
(a) On the lower ECAM Display Unit (DU), the FUEL page comes into view.
(b) Make sure that a maximum of 100 +100 kg or -0 kg (220 +220 lb or +0 lb) fuel is in the ACT(s).
(c) Make sure that the fuel quantity in the center tank is 5000 +200 kg or -800 kg (11023 +441 lb or -1764 lb).
(11) Do the test of the high-level sensing system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-00-710-002).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the refuel hose from the refuel coupling.
(3) Install the refuel coupling cap 101QM(41QM) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-41-400-005).
(4) Remove the refuel tanker/pump unit.
(5) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(6) On the ECAM control panel:
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
Subtask 28-25-00-410-089-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the refuel hose from the refuel coupling.
(3) Install the refuel coupling cap 101QM(41QM) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-41-400-005).
(4) Remove the refuel tanker/pump unit.
(5) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(6) On the ECAM control panel:
- Set the UPPER DISPLAY and LOWER DISPLAY potentiometers to OFF.
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
B. Close Access
(1) Close the refuel/defuel panel doors 192MB, 522KB and 622KB.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the refuel hose from the refuel coupling.
(4) Disconnect these bonding/ground cables:
(6) On the ECAM control panel:
(a) Set the UPPER DISPLAY and LOWER DISPLAY potentiometers to the OFF position.
(7) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
Subtask 28-25-00-410-089-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the refuel hose from the refuel coupling.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE HANDLE OF THE REFUEL COUPLING CAP POINTS AFT WHEN THE CAP IS CLOSED AND LOCKED.
(3) Install refuel coupling cap 41QM. (4) Disconnect these bonding/ground cables:
- Between the aircraft and the fuel tanker/pump unit
- If applicable, between the fuel tanker/pump unit and the ground
- If applicable, between the aircraft and the ground.
(6) On the ECAM control panel:
(a) Set the UPPER DISPLAY and LOWER DISPLAY potentiometers to the OFF position.
(7) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
D. Close Access
(1) Close access door 192MB.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
