A. Safety Precautions
WARNING: OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
   (2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.

B. Energize the Electrical Circuits
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical network (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

C. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the center tank water drain valves 94QM and 95QM.
4. Procedure

A. Remove Collected Fuel from the Center Tank
   (1) Operate the water drain valves 94QM and 95QM to drain collected water from the center tank.
   (2) Examine the water drain valves 94QM and 95QM for leakage. Leaks are not permitted.
NOTE: This step is very important at the center tank water drain valves 94QM and 95QM, where access is not easy.
   (3) Do a FQI check to make sure the center tank contains a minimum fuel quantity of 1000 kg (2205 lb).
NOTE: This is to make sure that the center tank fuel pumps are full of fuel.
   (4) If necessary, refuel/transfer fuel into the center tank to give a minimum indicated fuel quantity of 1000 kg (2205 lb) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001).
   (5) Defuel the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).

B. De-energize the Electrical Circuits
   (1) De-energize the aircraft electrical network (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

C. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Remove the safety barriers.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
