A. Safety Precautions
(2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
Subtask 28-25-00-010-064-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001). (2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
B. Get Access
(1) Open the right Main Landing Gear (MLG) door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE below transfer defuel valve (11QM).
(3) Open access panel 192MB:
(a) If operating in battery power, do not keep the door open longer than necessary because the battery can discharge.
Subtask 28-25-00-010-064-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Open the right Main Landing Gear (MLG) door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE below transfer defuel valve (11QM).
(3) Open access panel 192MB:
(a) If operating in battery power, do not keep the door open longer than necessary because the battery can discharge.
B. Get Access
(1) Open the right Main Landing Gear (MLG) door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE below the transfer defuel valve (11QM).
(3) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below access panel 622KB.
(4) Open access panel 622KB.
(a) If operating in battery power, do not keep the door open longer than necessary because the battery can discharge.
Subtask 28-25-00-860-059-A (1) Open the right Main Landing Gear (MLG) door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE below the transfer defuel valve (11QM).
(3) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below access panel 622KB.
(4) Open access panel 622KB.
(a) If operating in battery power, do not keep the door open longer than necessary because the battery can discharge.
C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the panel 800VU, make sure that the MODE SELECT switch is in the OFF and guarded position. Make sure that the warning notice is still attached to the switch.
(2) Make sure that the circuit breaker 1QU on panel 121VU, is still open, safetied and tagged. Make sure that the warning notice is still attached to the circuit breaker.
4. Procedure(1) On the panel 800VU, make sure that the MODE SELECT switch is in the OFF and guarded position. Make sure that the warning notice is still attached to the switch.
(2) Make sure that the circuit breaker 1QU on panel 121VU, is still open, safetied and tagged. Make sure that the warning notice is still attached to the circuit breaker.
Subtask 28-25-00-440-051-A
A. Reactivation of the Transfer Defuel Valve
(1) Remove the applicable item(s) from the polythene bag(s).
(2) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(3) If applicable, release the screw (2) and remove V-band clamp (82QM). Remove the T720456 TOOL - VALVE LOCKING from the transfer defuel valve (11QM).
(4) Make sure that you remove the dowel (3) from between the T720456 TOOL - VALVE LOCKING and the face plate of the drive shaft. Keep the dowel (3) safe with the T720456 TOOL - VALVE LOCKING.
(5) If the transfer defuel valve (11QM) is unserviceable, then replace it, (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-43-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-43-400-001).
(6) If the actuator (11QU) is unserviceable, then replace it, (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-53-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-53-400-001).
(8) If you do not know the cause of the failure, trouble-shoot the system and do the corrective action (Ref. TSM Chapter 28).
Subtask 28-25-00-865-062-A (1) Remove the applicable item(s) from the polythene bag(s).
(2) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(3) If applicable, release the screw (2) and remove V-band clamp (82QM). Remove the T720456 TOOL - VALVE LOCKING from the transfer defuel valve (11QM).
(4) Make sure that you remove the dowel (3) from between the T720456 TOOL - VALVE LOCKING and the face plate of the drive shaft. Keep the dowel (3) safe with the T720456 TOOL - VALVE LOCKING.
(5) If the transfer defuel valve (11QM) is unserviceable, then replace it, (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-43-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-43-400-001).
(6) If the actuator (11QU) is unserviceable, then replace it, (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-53-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-53-400-001).
NOTE: It is possible that the actuator (11QU) is in a polythene bag.
(7) Reconnect the electrical connector (1) to the actuator (11QU). (8) If you do not know the cause of the failure, trouble-shoot the system and do the corrective action (Ref. TSM Chapter 28).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

Subtask 28-25-00-410-064-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S) from circuit breaker 1QU in the cockpit and the MODE SELECT switch on panel 800VU.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) Close the right MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(5) Close access panel 192MB.
Subtask 28-25-00-410-064-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S) from circuit breaker 1QU in the cockpit and the MODE SELECT switch on panel 800VU.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) Close the right MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(5) Close access panel 192MB.
A. Close Access
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S) from circuit breaker 1QU in the cockpit and the MODE SELECT switch on panel 800VU.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the right MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(5) Close access panel 622KB.
Subtask 28-25-00-942-068-A (1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S) from circuit breaker 1QU in the cockpit and the MODE SELECT switch on panel 800VU.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the right MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(5) Close access panel 622KB.
B. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(4) Write an entry in the aircraft technical log to say that the transfer/defuel valve is reactivated.
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(4) Write an entry in the aircraft technical log to say that the transfer/defuel valve is reactivated.
