H. Detail Visual Inspection of the LP Fuel Valve and the Mounting Plate

   (1) Do the detail visual inspection of the LP fuel valve (18) and the mounting plate (8) as follows:
     (a) Make sure that :
1 The LP fuel-valve face-plate is correctly installed and is a flush fit with the mounting plate (8) on the front spar.
2 The clearance between the LP fuel-valve face-plate and its mounting plate (8) is not more than 0.254 mm (0.0100 in.).
3 There are no signs of the O-ring (7) caught between the LP fuel-valve face-plate and the mounting plate (8) on the front spar.
4 You cannot see signs of the fuel leakage.
5 All the bolts (5) and (17) are correctly installed and there is no clearance between the bolt head and the LP fuel-valve flange.
   (2) If the inspection that is completed is not correct, do the steps that follow:
     (a) Remove the LP fuel valve (18) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-24-41-000-001).
     (b) Do the inspection of the mounting plate and look for damage on the:
  • Front face and the bolt holes
  • Chamfered edge
  • Inner face.
     (c) If there is damage, replace the mounting plate (8) as follows:
1 Loosen and remove the nuts (11).
2 Remove the mounting plate (8) and discard the O-rings (9) and (10).
