A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Before you install an actuator with part number (HTE190001, HTE190001-1, HTE190001-2 or HTE1900026), you must do the dimensional inspection of the dowel (anti-rotation) on twin motor actuators (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-200-002).
(7) Put a new AIPC 28-23-03-01-130 O-RING (5) or AIPC 28-23-83-01-150 O-RING (5) with a thin layer of Fluorosilicone base Grease-- PTFE Thickened High Temp. - (Material No.03KGB1) on the mounting flange (6).
Subtask 28-23-51-420-053-A (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
CAUTION:
DO NOT TRY TO TURN THE DRIVE OF THE ACTUATOR BECAUSE YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE.
(4) Make sure that the crossfeed valve actuator (3) is in this configuration: - The drive key (7) in the vertical (valve open) position
- The see-feel indicator (1) in the horizontal (valve open) position.
- The drive spindle (8) in the vertical (valve open) position.
B. Installation of the Crossfeed Valve Actuator (5QE)
(2) Carefully install the crossfeed valve actuator (3) on the mounting flange (6):
(a) Make sure that the mating surfaces of the crossfeed valve actuator (3) and the drive assembly touch fully with:
(4) TORQUE the screw of the V-clamp (4) to between 0.143 and 0.117 m.daN (12.65 and 10.35 lbf.in )
.
(5) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(6) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
Subtask 28-23-51-865-055-A CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU CORRECTLY ALIGN THE POSITIONS OF THE ROLL PIN ON THE DRIVE SPINDLE AND THE PIN HOLE IN THE ACTUATOR. IF NOT, THE ACTUATOR WILL NOT OPERATE THE VALVE CORRECTLY AND CAN CAUSE FUEL LEAKAGE.
CAUTION:
DO NOT TRY TO TURN THE DRIVE OF THE ACTUATOR BECAUSE YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE.
(1) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the mounting flange (6) and the crossfeed valve actuator (3). (2) Carefully install the crossfeed valve actuator (3) on the mounting flange (6):
(a) Make sure that the mating surfaces of the crossfeed valve actuator (3) and the drive assembly touch fully with:
- The drive key of the actuator spindle that engages with the spindle of the drive assembly
- The roll pin in the drive assembly that engages with the location hole in the actuator
- The dowel in the flange of the actuator that engages with the slot of the drive assembly.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR IS CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT IT. CONTAMINATION OF THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR CAN CAUSE INCORRECT FIRE DETECTION.
(7) Connect the electrical connectors (2) to the crossfeed valve actuator (3). C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
