A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the APU/MASTER SW pushbutton switch is released on the overhead control and indicating panel 25VU.
(2) Make sure that the center tank and the left wing tank are defueled (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(3) Make sure that the remaining fuel from the center tank and the left wing tank is drained (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
(4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position under the main door of the left main gear.
(5) Make sure that the main door of the left main gear is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(6) Make sure that the manhole cover is removed 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).
(7) Make sure that the APU fuel pump 4QC is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-22-51-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the APU/MASTER SW pushbutton switch is released on the overhead control and indicating panel 25VU.
(2) Make sure that the center tank and the left wing tank are defueled (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(3) Make sure that the remaining fuel from the center tank and the left wing tank is drained (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
(4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position under the main door of the left main gear.
(5) Make sure that the main door of the left main gear is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(6) Make sure that the manhole cover is removed 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).
(7) Make sure that the APU fuel pump 4QC is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-22-51-000-001).
Subtask 28-22-52-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the APU Fuel Pump Canister
(1) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(2) Apply Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) on the new O-rings (9), (21) and (23).
(3) Install the AIPC 28-22-05-02-030 O-RING (23) on the pump canister (22).
(4) Install the AIPC 28-22-05-01-030 O-RING (9) on the pump canister (22).
(5) Install the pump canister (22) on the rear spar (1).
(6) Install the gutter (7), the new AIPC 28-22-05-02-020 WASHERS (6) and the five screws (5).
(7) Tighten the five screws (5) and safety with lockwire 0.8 mm.
(8) Connect the bonding strip (3) and install the bolt (4) and the nut (2).
(9) Install the AIPC 28-23-05-01-130 O-RING (21) between the line (20) and the pump canister (22).
(10) Install the washers (19) and the screws (18).
(11) Make sure that the O-ring (9) is correctly installed between the pump canister (22) and the line (12).
(12) Install the washers (10) and the screws (11).
(13) Install the line (17) and tighten the nuts (8).
(14) Connect the bonding strip (15) and install the washer (14), the bolt (13) and the nut (16).
(15) Install the APU fuel pump 4QC (Ref. AMM TASK 28-22-51-400-001).
Subtask 28-22-52-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(2) Apply Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) on the new O-rings (9), (21) and (23).
(3) Install the AIPC 28-22-05-02-030 O-RING (23) on the pump canister (22).
(4) Install the AIPC 28-22-05-01-030 O-RING (9) on the pump canister (22).
(5) Install the pump canister (22) on the rear spar (1).
(6) Install the gutter (7), the new AIPC 28-22-05-02-020 WASHERS (6) and the five screws (5).
(7) Tighten the five screws (5) and safety with lockwire 0.8 mm.
(8) Connect the bonding strip (3) and install the bolt (4) and the nut (2).
(9) Install the AIPC 28-23-05-01-130 O-RING (21) between the line (20) and the pump canister (22).
(10) Install the washers (19) and the screws (18).
(11) Make sure that the O-ring (9) is correctly installed between the pump canister (22) and the line (12).
(12) Install the washers (10) and the screws (11).
(13) Install the line (17) and tighten the nuts (8).
(14) Connect the bonding strip (15) and install the washer (14), the bolt (13) and the nut (16).
(15) Install the APU fuel pump 4QC (Ref. AMM TASK 28-22-51-400-001).
A. Installation of the APU Fuel Pump Canister
(1) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(2) Apply Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) on the new O-rings (9), (21) and (23).
(3) Install the AIPC 28-22-05-02-030 O-RING (23) or AIPC 28-22-85-02-030 O-RING (23) on the pump canister (22).
(4) Install the AIPC 28-22-05-01-030 O-RING (9) or AIPC 28-22-85-01-050 O-RING (9) on the pump canister (22).
(5) Install the pump canister (22) on the rear spar (1).
(6) Install the bonding lug (7), the new AIPC 28-22-05-02-020 WASHERS (6) or AIPC 28-22-85-02-020 WASHERS (6) and the five screws (5).
(7) Tighten the five screws (5) and safety with lockwire 0.8 mm.
(8) Connect the bonding strip (3) and install the bolt (4) and the nut (2).
(9) Install the AIPC 28-23-05-01-130 O-RING (21) or AIPC 28-23-85-01-140 O-RING (21) between the line (20) and the pump canister (22).
(10) Install the washers (19) and the screws (18).
(11) Make sure that the O-ring (9) is correctly installed between the pump canister (22) and the line (12).
(12) Install the washers (10) and the screws (11).
(13) Install the line (17) and tighten the nuts (8).
(14) Connect the bonding strip (15) and install the washer (14), the bolt (13) and the nut (16).
(15) Install the APU fuel pump 4QC (Ref. AMM TASK 28-22-51-400-001).
Subtask 28-22-52-710-050-A Subtask 28-22-52-790-050-A (1) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(2) Apply Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) on the new O-rings (9), (21) and (23).
(3) Install the AIPC 28-22-05-02-030 O-RING (23) or AIPC 28-22-85-02-030 O-RING (23) on the pump canister (22).
(4) Install the AIPC 28-22-05-01-030 O-RING (9) or AIPC 28-22-85-01-050 O-RING (9) on the pump canister (22).
(5) Install the pump canister (22) on the rear spar (1).
(6) Install the bonding lug (7), the new AIPC 28-22-05-02-020 WASHERS (6) or AIPC 28-22-85-02-020 WASHERS (6) and the five screws (5).
(7) Tighten the five screws (5) and safety with lockwire 0.8 mm.
(8) Connect the bonding strip (3) and install the bolt (4) and the nut (2).
(9) Install the AIPC 28-23-05-01-130 O-RING (21) or AIPC 28-23-85-01-140 O-RING (21) between the line (20) and the pump canister (22).
(10) Install the washers (19) and the screws (18).
(11) Make sure that the O-ring (9) is correctly installed between the pump canister (22) and the line (12).
(12) Install the washers (10) and the screws (11).
(13) Install the line (17) and tighten the nuts (8).
(14) Connect the bonding strip (15) and install the washer (14), the bolt (13) and the nut (16).
(15) Install the APU fuel pump 4QC (Ref. AMM TASK 28-22-51-400-001).
C. Make sure that there is no leakage at the pump canister (22) and remove the container.
5. Close-upSubtask 28-22-52-410-050-A
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that there are no unwanted objects and materials, tools or other equipment in the center tank and left wing tank.
(2) Install the manhole cover 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-001).
(3) Close the main door of the left main gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 28-22-52-650-051-A (1) Make sure that there are no unwanted objects and materials, tools or other equipment in the center tank and left wing tank.
(2) Install the manhole cover 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-001).
(3) Close the main door of the left main gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
