B. On the overhead control and indicating panel 25VU, make sure that the APU/MASTER SW pushbutton switch is released (out). (On this pushbutton switch, the ON legend is off).
Subtask 28-22-52-650-050-A C. Fuel Configuration
(1) Make sure that the crossfeed valve is in the closed position.
(2) Defuel the center tank and the left wing tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(3) Drain the remaining fuel from the center tank and the left wing tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
Subtask 28-22-52-862-050-A Subtask 28-22-52-010-050-A (1) Make sure that the crossfeed valve is in the closed position.
(2) Defuel the center tank and the left wing tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(3) Drain the remaining fuel from the center tank and the left wing tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
E. Removal for Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position under the main door of the left main gear.
(2) Open the main door of the left main gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(3) Remove the manhole cover 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).
(4) Remove the APU fuel pump 4QC (Ref. AMM TASK 28-22-51-000-001).
Subtask 28-22-52-910-050-A (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position under the main door of the left main gear.
(2) Open the main door of the left main gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(3) Remove the manhole cover 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).
(4) Remove the APU fuel pump 4QC (Ref. AMM TASK 28-22-51-000-001).
F. You must obey the special fuel safety procedures when you work in the fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).

A. Removal of the APU Fuel Pump Canister
(1) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the pump canister (22).
(2) Remove the nut (16), the bolt (13), the washer (14) and disconnect the bonding strip (15).
(3) Loosen the nuts (8) and remove the line (17).
(4) Remove the screws (11) and the washers (10).
(5) Remove the screws (18) and the washers (19).
(6) Remove the nut (2), the bolt (4) and disconnect the bonding strip (3).
(7) Cut and remove the lockwire from the screws (5).
(8) Hold the pump canister (22) and remove the five screws (5), the washers (6) and the gutter (7).
(9) Remove the pump canister (22), and remove and discard the O-rings (9), (21) and (23).
(10) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
Subtask 28-22-52-020-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the pump canister (22).
(2) Remove the nut (16), the bolt (13), the washer (14) and disconnect the bonding strip (15).

(6) Remove the nut (2), the bolt (4) and disconnect the bonding strip (3).

(8) Hold the pump canister (22) and remove the five screws (5), the washers (6) and the gutter (7).
(9) Remove the pump canister (22), and remove and discard the O-rings (9), (21) and (23).
(10) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.

(9) Remove the pump canister (22), and remove and discard the O-rings (9), (21) and (23).
(10) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
