(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).

B. Fuel Configuration
(1) Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

D. Get Access
(1) Get access to the jet adaptor assemblies in the wing tank.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

(a) Fully extend the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(b) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is on the slat/flap control lever.
(c) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable access panel 575DB(675DB).
(d) Remove the applicable access panel 575DB(675DB).
(2) Get access to the jet adaptor assemblies in the center tank

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR DOORS ARE CLEAR.

(a) Open the applicable MLG door 734(744) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(b) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable MLG door actuator.
(c) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable zone 147(148).

D. Get Access
(1) Get access to the jet adaptor assemblies in the wing tank.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Jet Adaptor Assembly in the Wing Tank and the Center Tank

Jet Adaptor - Wing Tank ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

Jet Adaptor - Center Tank ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Remove and discard the lockwire from the jet adaptor assembly (4).
(2) Remove the jet adaptor assembly (4) from the jet pump (1).
(3) Remove and discard the O-rings (2) and (3).

A. Removal of the Jet Adaptor Assembly in the Wing Tank

Jet Adaptor - Wing Tank ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Remove and discard the lockwire from the jet adaptor assembly (4).
(2) Remove the jet adaptor assembly (4) from the jet pump (1).
(3) Remove and discard the O-rings (2) and (3).
