WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FLIGHT CONTROL SAFETY-LOCKS AND THE WARNING NOTICES ARE IN POSITION.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
1. Reason for the Job- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.

(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001). (2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in the applicable MLG bay.
(2) Make sure that the CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the applicable pressure switch.
Subtask 28-21-15-860-053-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in the applicable MLG bay.
(2) Make sure that the CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the applicable pressure switch.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the applicable MLG door 734(744) is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable MLG door actuator.
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in the applicable MLG bay.
(4) Make sure that the CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) is below the applicable pressure switch.
Subtask 28-21-15-865-062-A (1) Make sure that the applicable MLG door 734(744) is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Lubricate the new O-rings that follow with Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) :

B. Installation of the Fuel-Pump Pressure-Switch
(1) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the sealing valve (3) and the pressure switch (7).
(2) If removed, install the sealing valve (3) as follows:
(a) Install the O-ring (2) on the sealing valve (3).
(b) Install the sealing valve (3) to the bulkhead adapter (1).
(c) TORQUE the sealing valve to between 4.3 and 3.9 m.daN (31.71 and 28.76 lbf.ft )

(3) Install the O-ring (4) in the pressure switch (7).
(4) Install the O-ring (5) around the plug (6).
(5) Install the pressure switch (7) on the sealing valve (3).
(6) Install the plug (6).
(7) TORQUE the plug (6) to between 2.0 and 1.75 m.daN (14.75 and 12.91 lbf.ft )

. WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(8) Safety the plug (6) to the sealing valve (3) with (9) FOR [23QA] (PRESS SW-FUEL PUMP NO 1, L WING TK), [24QA] (PRESS SW-FUEL PUMP NO 1, R WING TK), [27QA] (PRESS SW-FUEL PUMP NO 2, L WING TK), [28QA] (PRESS SW-FUEL PUMP NO 2, R WING TK)
Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Brushable - (Material No.06ABA1) or Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Quick Curing - (Material No.06ABF1) to the ends of the lockwire.
NOTE: Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Quick Curing - (Material No.06ABF1) is a fast curing sealant which can be applied if the sealant cure time is not sufficient before the aircraft flight.
(10) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(11) Connect the electrical connector (8) to the pressure switch (7). C. Preparation for Installation
(1) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas.
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Lubricate the new O-rings that follow with Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) :

USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(8) Safety the plug (6) to the sealing valve (3) with (9) FOR [23QA] (PRESS SW-FUEL PUMP NO 1, L WING TK), [24QA] (PRESS SW-FUEL PUMP NO 1, R WING TK), [27QA] (PRESS SW-FUEL PUMP NO 2, L WING TK), [28QA] (PRESS SW-FUEL PUMP NO 2, R WING TK)
Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Brushable - (Material No.06ABA1) or Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Quick Curing - (Material No.06ABF1) to the ends of the lockwire.
NOTE: Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Quick Curing - (Material No.06ABF1) is a fast curing sealant which can be applied if the sealant cure time is not sufficient before the aircraft flight.
(10) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(11) Connect the electrical connector (8) to the pressure switch (7). E. Aircraft Configuration
(1) Make sure that the applicable fuel tank contains a minimum of 750 kg (1653 lb). Refuel if applicable (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003).

G. Test
(1) Push (in) the applicable TK PUMP P/BSW.
(2) Make sure that the applicable TK PUMP P/BSW OFF light goes off and the FAULT comes on momentarily.
(3) Examine the applicable fuel-pump pressure switch (7) for leaks.
5. Close-up(1) Push (in) the applicable TK PUMP P/BSW.
(2) Make sure that the applicable TK PUMP P/BSW OFF light goes off and the FAULT comes on momentarily.
(3) Examine the applicable fuel-pump pressure switch (7) for leaks.
