(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work in a fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001).- DEATH OR INJURY TO PERSONS
- DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT OR OTHER EQUIPMENT.
(2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
B. Fuel Configuration
(1) Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
Subtask 28-21-00-010-061-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position:
(a) Install the 98D57004014000 HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) to hold the applicable surge door open.
Subtask 28-21-00-010-061-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position:
- For the left wing, below zone 540
- For the right wing, below zone 640.
- For the left wing, remove access panel 540AB
- For the right wing, remove access panel 640AB.
(a) Install the 98D57004014000 HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) to hold the applicable surge door open.
C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position :
(a) Install the 98D57004014000 HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) to hold the applicable surge door open.
(4) Remove the fuel pump strainers (Ref. AMM TASK 28-21-54-000-002).
Subtask 28-21-00-010-061-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position :
- For the left wing, below zone 540
- For the right wing, below zone 640.
- For the left wing, remove access panel 540AB
- For the right wing, remove access panel 640AB.
(a) Install the 98D57004014000 HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) to hold the applicable surge door open.
(4) Remove the fuel pump strainers (Ref. AMM TASK 28-21-54-000-002).
C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position:

- For the left wing, below zone 540
- For the right wing, below zone 640.
- For the left wing, remove 540AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002)
- For the right wing, remove 640AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
- For the left wing, remove 540BZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-12-000-002)
- For the right wing, remove 640BZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-12-000-002).

(1) Manually move the clack valve in the suction valve through its full travel. The clack valve must move freely.

(3) Install the access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-400-001):

(3) Install the access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-400-001):

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the fuel pump strainers (Ref. AMM TASK 28-21-54-400-002).
(3) Remove the 98D57004014000 HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) and let surge door 540BZ ( 640BZ) close carefully.
(4) Install the access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-400-001):
