A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On the panel 400VU:

- make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
- put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
B. Get Access
(1) Remove the inboard and outboard fuel pump fairings (Ref. AMM TASK 28-21-49-000-001).

A. General Visual Inspection of the Wing Fuel Pump Electrical Connections and Underwing Electrical Supply Cable
(a) Use a MIRROR - INSPECTION, FLEXIBLE and a FLASHLIGHT and examine all of the wiring. Make sure that:

MAKE SURE THAT THE INSTALLATION AND ROUTING OF ALL ELECTRICAL CABLES AGREE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE ELECTRICAL STANDARD PRACTICES MANUAL.
(1) Do a visual check of the fuel pump wiring as follows: (a) Use a MIRROR - INSPECTION, FLEXIBLE and a FLASHLIGHT and examine all of the wiring. Make sure that:
- there is no sign of wear or damage to the wiring harness or harness connections
- there is no sign of corrosion on the wiring connections
- the harness insulation is in good condition
- the harness clamps and brackets are all correctly installed.
NOTE: If wear or damage is found, the wiring must be repaired. Refer to the Electrical Standard Practices Manual for repair data.

A. Close Access
(1) Install the inboard and outboard fuel pump fairings (Ref. AMM TASK 28-21-49-400-001).

B. Removal of Equipment
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the safety barriers.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
