Subtask 28-18-00-710-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Operational Check of ACT Transfer-Fuel-Pump Ground-Fault-Interrupters (GFI) (SFAR88)
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (3) On the ECAM control panel, push the FUEL pushbutton switch:
  • Make sure that the FUEL page shows on the ECAM lower Display Unit (DU).
   (4) Make sure that the applicable ACT(s) contains a minimum of 500 kg (1100 lb) of fuel.
   (5) Make sure that the center tank contains a minimum of 1500 kg (3310 lb) of fuel.
ACTION
RESULT
1.In the cockpit, on overhead panel 28VU:
On overhead panel 28VU:
  • Push (in) the MODE SEL pushbutton switch.
  • The MAN light in the pushbutton switch comes on.
  • Set the ACT XFR rotary switch to AFT1.
NOTE: The fuel transfer starts when you select AFT1. Thus, it is recommended to do this test with two persons.
On the ECAM lower DU:
  • The solid green arrow comes into view
  • Make sure that the ACT transfer pump operates (it must start when the ACT XFR switch is selected to AFT1).
2.In the avionics compartment, on panel 107VU, find the GFI devices that follows:
  • 122QH
  • 124QH.

3.During the step that follows, you must monitor the Trip/Reset indicator button, when you push the related test button.

4.On GFI 122QH:
On GFI 122QH:
  • Push the test button.
  • Make sure that the Trip/Reset indicator button moves to tripped position
  • Make sure that you can see the metal shaft of the Trip/Reset indicator.

The pump stops.

After a minimum of 60 seconds, on the ECAM upper DU:
  • The Engine/Warning Display (EWD) shows the warning "FUEL - ACT PUMP LO PR".
5.In the cockpit, on overhead panel 28VU:
