Installation of the Pressure Holding Valve
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FLIGHT CONTROL SAFETY-LOCKS AND THE WARNING NOTICES ARE IN POSITION.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
(2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
Subtask 28-16-43-860-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank. (2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the applicable fuel tank is defueled (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001) .
(2) Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is below the applicable zone 540(640).
(4) Make sure that the applicable access panels 540JB(640JB) and 540KB(640KB) are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-002).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the applicable fuel tank is defueled (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001) .
(2) Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is below the applicable zone 540(640).
(4) Make sure that the applicable access panels 540JB(640JB) and 540KB(640KB) are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-002).
Subtask 28-16-43-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Compress the pipe (17) into the pipe (13) and the T-piece (16).
(5) If possible, remove the O-ring (15) from the T-piece (16).
(6) If you cannot remove the O-ring (15), continue as follows:
(a) Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-002):

2 FOR [219QM] (VALVE-PRESSURE HOLDING)
remove the access panel 640LB.
(b) Disconnect the nut (14) from the T-piece (16).
(c) Disconnect the connector (12) from the pipe (13).
(d) Remove the nuts (11) and the bolts (10).
(e) Push the pipe (17) fully into the pipe (13).
(f) Push the T-piece (16) fully onto the pipe (17).
(g) Move the T-piece (16), the pipe (17) and the pipe (13) assembly, as necessary, so that you can remove the O-ring (15).
(h) Remove and discard the O-ring (15).
(i) Lubricate the new AIPC 28-16-05-10-390 O-RING (15) with Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) .
(j) Install the new O-ring (15) on the T-piece (16).
(k) Put the pipe (13) in position on the RIB 16 and on the connector (12).
(l) Install the bolts (10) and the nuts (11).
(m) Connect the connector (12) to the pipe (13). Tighten the connector (12).
(n) Put the T-piece in position on the RIB 15.
(o) Install the nut (14) and its related pipe on the T-piece (16). Tighten the nut (14).
(p) Make sure that the pipe (17) is at its mid-point between the T-piece (16) and the pipe (13).
(7) Lubricate the new AIPC 28-16-05-10-430 O-RING (2) the new AIPC 28-16-05-10-420 O-RING (4) and the new AIPC 28-16-05-10-420 O-RING (7) with Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) .

(b) Disconnect the nut (14) from the T-piece (16).
(c) Disconnect the connector (12) from the pipe (13).
(d) Remove the nuts (11) and the bolts (10).
(e) Push the pipe (17) fully into the pipe (13).
(f) Push the T-piece (16) fully onto the pipe (17).
(g) Move the T-piece (16), the pipe (17) and the pipe (13) assembly, as necessary, so that you can remove the O-ring (15).
(h) Remove and discard the O-ring (15).
(i) Lubricate the new AIPC 28-16-05-10-390 O-RING (15) with Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) .
(j) Install the new O-ring (15) on the T-piece (16).
(k) Put the pipe (13) in position on the RIB 16 and on the connector (12).
(l) Install the bolts (10) and the nuts (11).
(m) Connect the connector (12) to the pipe (13). Tighten the connector (12).
(n) Put the T-piece in position on the RIB 15.
(o) Install the nut (14) and its related pipe on the T-piece (16). Tighten the nut (14).
(p) Make sure that the pipe (17) is at its mid-point between the T-piece (16) and the pipe (13).
(7) Lubricate the new AIPC 28-16-05-10-430 O-RING (2) the new AIPC 28-16-05-10-420 O-RING (4) and the new AIPC 28-16-05-10-420 O-RING (7) with Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) .
B. Installation of the Pressure Holding Valve 218QM(219QM)
(1) Install the new O-ring (2) on the end of the fuel pipe (1).
(2) Install the new O-ring (4) on the pressure holding valve (3).
(3) Install the pressure holding valve (3) on the fuel pipe (1).
(4) Install the new O-ring (7) on the adaptor assembly (5).
(5) Put the adaptor assembly (5) in position between the pressure holding valve (3) and the RIB 15.
(6) Install the bolts (9).
(7) Install the bolts (8) and the nuts (6).
5. Close-up(1) Install the new O-ring (2) on the end of the fuel pipe (1).
(2) Install the new O-ring (4) on the pressure holding valve (3).
(3) Install the pressure holding valve (3) on the fuel pipe (1).
(4) Install the new O-ring (7) on the adaptor assembly (5).
(5) Put the adaptor assembly (5) in position between the pressure holding valve (3) and the RIB 15.
(6) Install the bolts (9).
(7) Install the bolts (8) and the nuts (6).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-400-002):

(b) FOR [219QM] (VALVE-PRESSURE HOLDING)

B. Fuel Configuration
(1) Refuel, defuel or transfer fuel as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003), (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001).

C. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
