Installation of the Actuator
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FLIGHT CONTROL SAFETY-LOCKS AND THE WARNING NOTICES ARE IN POSITION.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
1. Reason for the Job- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

(1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
(2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the flaps are fully extended (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(2) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Make sure that the No. 3 spoiler is extended (Ref. AMM TASK 27-60-00-866-002).
(4) Make sure that the 98D27604000000 COLLAR-SAFETY, SPOILER or 98D27604004000 COLLAR SAFETY SPOILER is on the applicable spoiler servo-control.
(5) Make sure the access platform is below zone 575(675).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the flaps are fully extended (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(2) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Make sure that the No. 3 spoiler is extended (Ref. AMM TASK 27-60-00-866-002).
(4) Make sure that the 98D27604000000 COLLAR-SAFETY, SPOILER or 98D27604004000 COLLAR SAFETY SPOILER is on the applicable spoiler servo-control.
(5) Make sure the access platform is below zone 575(675).
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
Subtask 28-15-51-420-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL - DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Apply Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.03GEE1) to the new AIPC 28-15-42-01-010 O-RING (6).

B. Installation of Actuator 11QP(12QP)
(2) Align the transfer-valve drive slot with the transfer valve actuator (5).
(3) Install the new O-ring (6) on the transfer valve drive (1).
(4) Carefully engage the transfer valve actuator (5) on the transfer-valve drive (1).
(a) Make sure that the mating surfaces of the actuator (5) and the transfer valve drive (1) engage correctly.
(b) Make sure that there is zero clearance (around all of the circumference) between the flange of the:
.
(7) Make sure that the clamp (3) is fully engaged.
Subtask 28-15-51-865-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU CORRECTLY ALIGN THE POSITIONS OF THE ROLL PIN ON THE DRIVE SPINDLE AND THE PIN HOLE IN THE ACTUATOR. IF NOT, THE ACTUATOR WILL NOT OPERATE THE VALVE CORRECTLY AND CAN CAUSE FUEL LEAKAGE.
(1) Make sure the transfer-valve drive slot moves freely. (2) Align the transfer-valve drive slot with the transfer valve actuator (5).
(3) Install the new O-ring (6) on the transfer valve drive (1).
(4) Carefully engage the transfer valve actuator (5) on the transfer-valve drive (1).
(a) Make sure that the mating surfaces of the actuator (5) and the transfer valve drive (1) engage correctly.
(b) Make sure that there is zero clearance (around all of the circumference) between the flange of the:
- actuator (5)
- transfer valve drive (1).
NOTE: There will always be no clearance when the pins and the grooves are all correctly aligned.
(5) Put the clamp (3) and install the bolt (2). CAUTION:
DO NOT TORQUE THE V-CLAMP(S) TO MORE THAN THE SPECIFIED VALUE. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE FLANGE SURFACES.
(6) TORQUE the bolt (2) to between .113 and .102 m.daN (10.00 and 9.03 lbf.in )
. (7) Make sure that the clamp (3) is fully engaged.
NOTE: The clamp (3) is fully engaged if no part of the flange shows for the:
(8) Remove the blanking caps and install the electrical connector (4). - actuator (5)

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Operational Test
(1) Do a BITE of the intercell transfer valves (Ref. AMM TASK 28-15-00-740-002).

Subtask 28-15-51-860-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Configuration
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Retract the Spoiler No. 3 (Ref. AMM TASK 27-60-00-866-002).
(3) On the spoiler servo-control, make sure that the pointer on the hex. head is opposite the letter 'O' on the housing.
(4) Retract the flaps fully (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).

(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
