A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the overhead panel 25VU make sure that the switch 2LV BEACON ON-OFF is in the OFF position.
(2) Obey the fuel safety procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).

B. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Get Access
(1) Remove the access panel 191JB on the left side of the belly fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-001).
(2) Disconnect the electrical connector from the lower beacon/strobe light.
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
4. Procedure(1) Remove the access panel 191JB on the left side of the belly fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-001).
(2) Disconnect the electrical connector from the lower beacon/strobe light.
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
Subtask 28-13-44-020-050-A
A. Removal of the Leak Monitor (500QM)
(1) Drain the leak monitor (4) with a 98A28104000000 PURGER - WATER DRAIN.
(2) Disconnect the pipe (1) from the leak monitor (4).
(4) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(5) Remove the nuts (8), the washers (7) and the screws (6).
(6) Remove the leak monitor (4) and discard the O-ring (5).
(1) Drain the leak monitor (4) with a 98A28104000000 PURGER - WATER DRAIN.
(2) Disconnect the pipe (1) from the leak monitor (4).
NOTE: Make sure that you do not cause damage to the pipe when you move it from the leak monitor.
(3) Remove the reducer union (2) from the leak monitor (4) and discard the O-ring (3). (4) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(5) Remove the nuts (8), the washers (7) and the screws (6).
(6) Remove the leak monitor (4) and discard the O-ring (5).
