3. Job Set-up
Subtask 28-12-56-860-057-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
   (2) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (3) On refuel/defuel control panels 801VU and 800VU, on fuel control panel 40VU and on ACT control panel 28VU:
     (a) Make sure that the warning notices are in position to tell persons not to operate the refuel/defuel system.
   (4) FOR [229QM1] (VALVE-INWARD PRESSURE RELIEF, ACT1)
     (a) Make sure that ACT AFT1 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-002).
   (5) FOR [229QM2] (VALVE-INWARD PRESSURE RELIEF, ACT2)
     (a) Make sure that ACT AFT2 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-003).

4. Procedure
Subtask 28-12-56-420-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Inward Pressure Relief Valve
F ACT Inward Pressure-Relief-Valve ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
NOTE: The installation procedure for each inward pressure relief valve is the same.
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the new AIPC 28-12-84-12-230 O-RING (7) or the new AIPC 28-11-27-22-130 O-RING (7)
   (4) Install the new O-ring (7) in the valve housing (8).
     (a) Make sure that the O-ring (7) is correctly installed.
   (5) Prepare equipment for electrical bonding (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (6) Put the relief valve (6) in position on the flange (9) in the valve housing (8).
   (7) Install the washers (5) and (10) and the bolts (11) in the relief valve (6).
   (8) Apply surface protection on bonding bolts (11) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (9) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the new AIPC 28-12-84-12-220 FLAT SEALING (4) or the new AIPC 28-11-27-22-100 FLAT SEALING (4)
   (10) Install the flat sealing (4) on the valve housing (8).
     (a) Make sure that the flat sealing (4) is correctly installed.
   (11) Put the cover (3) on the valve housing (8).
   (12) Install the bolts (1), the washers (2) and (12) in sequence opposite to one another in the cover (3) of the valve housing (8) and hand tighten only.
   (13) When all the bolts (1) are installed, then fully tighten them in sequence opposite to one another.
   (14) Apply surface protection on bonding bolts (1) (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) FOR [229QM1] (VALVE-INWARD PRESSURE RELIEF, ACT1)
     (a) Install ACT AFT1 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-400-002).
   (3) FOR [229QM2] (VALVE-INWARD PRESSURE RELIEF, ACT2)
     (a) Install ACT AFT2 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-400-003).
Subtask 28-12-56-860-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) From refuel/defuel control panels 801VU and 800VU, fuel control panel 40VU and ACT control panel 28VU:
     (a) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
