Removal of the Additional Center Tank (ACT) Inward Pressure-Relief-Valve

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) On refuel/defuel control panels 801VU and 800VU, fuel control panel 40VU and ACT control panel 28VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the refuel/defuel system.
Subtask 28-12-56-865-072-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) On refuel/defuel control panels 801VU and 800VU, fuel control panel 40VU and ACT control panel 28VU:

(a) Remove ACT AFT1 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-002).
(2) FOR [229QM2] (VALVE-INWARD PRESSURE RELIEF, ACT2)
(a) Remove ACT AFT2 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-003).
4. Procedure(1) FOR [229QM1] (VALVE-INWARD PRESSURE RELIEF, ACT1)
(a) Remove ACT AFT1 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-002).
(2) FOR [229QM2] (VALVE-INWARD PRESSURE RELIEF, ACT2)
(a) Remove ACT AFT2 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-003).
Subtask 28-12-56-020-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the ACT Inward Pressure-Relief-Valve
(2) Remove the cover (3) from the valve housing (8).
(3) Remove and discard the flat sealing (4) from the valve housing (8).
(4) Remove the bolts (11) and the washers (5) and (10) from the flange of the ACT inward pressure-relief-valve (6)
(5) Remove the ACT inward pressure-relief-valve (6) from the flange (9) of the valve housing (8).
(6) Remove and discard the O-ring (7).
NOTE: The removal procedure for each ACT inward pressure-relief-valve is the same.
(1) Remove the bolts (1) and the washers (2) and (12) from the cover (3). (2) Remove the cover (3) from the valve housing (8).
(3) Remove and discard the flat sealing (4) from the valve housing (8).
(4) Remove the bolts (11) and the washers (5) and (10) from the flange of the ACT inward pressure-relief-valve (6)
(5) Remove the ACT inward pressure-relief-valve (6) from the flange (9) of the valve housing (8).
(6) Remove and discard the O-ring (7).
