A. Safety Precautions
(2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
Subtask 28-12-46-650-052-A WARNING:
BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work in a fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001). (2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
B. Fuel Configuration
(1) Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
Subtask 28-12-46-010-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable zone 540(640).
(2) Remove the overpressure protector outlet 540HB(640HB) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-46-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
Subtask 28-12-46-010-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable zone 540(640).
(2) Remove the overpressure protector outlet 540HB(640HB) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-46-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable zone 540(640).
(2) Remove the overpressure protector outlet 540PB(640PB) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-46-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable zone 540(640).
(2) Remove the overpressure protector outlet 540PB(640PB) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-46-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).

A. Inspection of the Wing-Tank Overpressure Protector Outlet
(a) You can see the white cross on the safety disc (1) clearly.
(b) The safety disc (1) is in one piece.
(c) If the safety disc (1) and/or white cross is(are) damaged, do the Step that follows:
1 Replace the applicable overpressure protector assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-46-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-46-400-001).
5. Close-upCAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY PRESSURE TO THE SAFETY DISC BECAUSE IT WILL EASILY BREAK.
(1) Examine the overpressure protector outlet (2) and the extension tube (6) to make sure that: - There is no damage
- There is no corrosion
- The overpressure protector outlet (2) is correctly installed on the access panel (3).
- There is no damage
- The sealant is in the correct condition.
- There is no damage
- The corrosion prevention material is in the correct condition.
(a) You can see the white cross on the safety disc (1) clearly.
(b) The safety disc (1) is in one piece.
(c) If the safety disc (1) and/or white cross is(are) damaged, do the Step that follows:
1 Replace the applicable overpressure protector assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-46-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-46-400-001).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the overpressure protector outlet 540HB(640HB) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-46-400-001).
