Removal of the Check Valve

BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET AIRCRAFT FUEL IN YOUR MOUTH OR IN YOUR EYES.
IF YOU GET FUEL ON YOUR SKIN OR ON YOUR CLOTHES, FLUSH IT IMMEDIATELY WITH WATER.
IF NECESSARY, GET MEDICAL HELP.
AIRCRAFT FUEL IS POISONOUS.
WARNING:
DO NOT GET YOUR CLOTHES SOAKED WITH FUEL.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE THE CORRECT FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE.
WARNING:

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) Obey the safety procedures when you do work in a fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001).
(3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(4) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the Main Landing Gear (MLG) doors.
Subtask 28-12-44-860-056-A (1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) Obey the safety procedures when you do work in a fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001).
(3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Defuel the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
C. Get Access

(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the LH MLG door actuator.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below access panel 147AZ or the ACT-Equipment Support Door.
(4) Remove access panel 147AZ or the ACT-Equipment Support Door (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).

MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR DOORS ARE CLEAR.
(1) Open the LH MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001). (2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the LH MLG door actuator.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below access panel 147AZ or the ACT-Equipment Support Door.
(4) Remove access panel 147AZ or the ACT-Equipment Support Door (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).
C. Get Access
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the LH MLG door actuator.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the ACT-Equipment Support Door.
(4) Remove the ACT-Equipment Support Door (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).
Subtask 28-12-44-865-057-A WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR DOORS ARE CLEAR.
(1) Open the LH MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001). (2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the LH MLG door actuator.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the ACT-Equipment Support Door.
(4) Remove the ACT-Equipment Support Door (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).

(1) Loosen the clamp (2) and move it along the pipe (1) away from the check-valve (3).
(2) Remove the check-valve (3) from the pipe (1) and remove the clamp (2).
