A. Safety Precautions
(2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear doors.
Subtask 28-12-41-860-055-A WARNING:
BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work in a fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001). (2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear doors.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Defuel the applicable fuel tanks (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tanks (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
Subtask 28-12-41-010-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Defuel the applicable fuel tanks (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tanks (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
C. Get Access
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the LH MLG door actuator.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) below the zone 147.
(4) Remove the access panel 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(5) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the zone 540.
(6) Remove the access panel 540AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(7) Open the surge door 540BZ.
(8) Install the 98D57004014000 HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) to hold the surge door open.
Subtask 28-12-41-010-052-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR DOORS ARE CLEAR.
(1) Open the LH MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001). (2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the LH MLG door actuator.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) below the zone 147.
(4) Remove the access panel 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(5) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the zone 540.
(6) Remove the access panel 540AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(7) Open the surge door 540BZ.
(8) Install the 98D57004014000 HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) to hold the surge door open.
C. Get Access
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the LH MLG door actuator.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) below the zone 147.
(4) Remove the ACT-Equipment Support Door (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(5) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the zone 540.
(6) Remove the access panel 540AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(7) Open the surge door 540BZ.
(8) Install the 98D57004014000 HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) to hold the surge door open.
Subtask 28-12-41-010-052-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR DOORS ARE CLEAR.
(1) Open the LH MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001). (2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the LH MLG door actuator.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) below the zone 147.
(4) Remove the ACT-Equipment Support Door (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(5) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the zone 540.
(6) Remove the access panel 540AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(7) Open the surge door 540BZ.
(8) Install the 98D57004014000 HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) to hold the surge door open.
C. Get Access
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the left MLG-door actuator.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the zone 147.
(4) Remove access cover 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(5) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the zone 540.
(6) Remove access panel 540AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(7) Remove RIB2 access panel 540BZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-12-000-002).
4. ProcedureWARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR DOORS ARE CLEAR.
(1) Remove the left Main Landing Gear (MLG) door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001). (2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the left MLG-door actuator.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the zone 147.
(4) Remove access cover 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(5) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the zone 540.
(6) Remove access panel 540AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(7) Remove RIB2 access panel 540BZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-12-000-002).

A. Inspection of the Overpressure Protector 96QM
5. Close-upCAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY PRESSURE TO THE SAFETY DISC BECAUSE IT WILL EASILY BREAK.
(1) Examine the overpressure protector (4) to make sure that: - there is no damage to the wire mesh (2)
- there is no damage to the safety disc (3)
- there is no corrosion
- the sealant on and around the nuts (1) and the head of the bolts (5) is in the correct condition
- there is no damage to the wire mesh basket (6).
Subtask 28-12-41-410-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the 98D57004014000 HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) and carefully close the surge door 540BZ.
(3) Install the access panel 540AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-400-001).
(4) Install the access panel 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-001).
Subtask 28-12-41-410-051-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the 98D57004014000 HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) and carefully close the surge door 540BZ.
(3) Install the access panel 540AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-400-001).
(4) Install the access panel 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-001).
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the 98D57004014000 HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) and carefully close the surge door 540BZ.
(3) Install the access panel 540AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-400-001).
(4) Install the ACT-Equipment Support Door (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-001).
Subtask 28-12-41-410-051-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the 98D57004014000 HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) and carefully close the surge door 540BZ.
(3) Install the access panel 540AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-400-001).
(4) Install the ACT-Equipment Support Door (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-001).
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install RIB2 access panel 540BZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-12-400-002).
(3) Install access panel 540AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-400-001).
(4) Install access cover 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-001).
Subtask 28-12-41-650-054-A (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install RIB2 access panel 540BZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-12-400-002).
(3) Install access panel 540AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-400-001).
(4) Install access cover 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-001).
B. Fuel Configuration
(1) Refuel, defuel or transfer fuel as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003), (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001).

C. Removal of Equipment

(4) Close the LH MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

(4) Close the LH MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
