A. Safety Precautions
(2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
Subtask 28-12-41-860-053-A WARNING:
BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work in a fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001). (2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Defuel the applicable fuel tanks (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tanks (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
Subtask 28-12-41-010-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Defuel the applicable fuel tanks (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tanks (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
C. Get Access
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the LH MLG door actuator.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position below zone 147.
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the zone 540.
(5) Remove the access panel 147AZ, (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(6) Remove the wing access panel 540AB, (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(7) Open the surge door 540BZ, to get access to the bolts (1) of the overpressure protector (4).
(8) Install the 98D57004014000 HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) to hold the surge door open.
Subtask 28-12-41-010-056-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR DOORS ARE CLEAR.
(1) Open the LH MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001). (2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the LH MLG door actuator.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position below zone 147.
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the zone 540.
(5) Remove the access panel 147AZ, (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(6) Remove the wing access panel 540AB, (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(7) Open the surge door 540BZ, to get access to the bolts (1) of the overpressure protector (4).
(8) Install the 98D57004014000 HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) to hold the surge door open.
C. Get Access
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the LH MLG door actuator.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position below zone 147.
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the zone 540.
(5) Remove the ACT-Equipment Support Door or the access cover 148AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(6) Remove the wing access panel 540AB, (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(7) Open the surge door 540BZ, to get access to the bolts (1) of the overpressure protector (4).
(8) Install the 98D57004014000 HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) to hold the surge door open.
Subtask 28-12-41-010-056-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR DOORS ARE CLEAR.

(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position below zone 147.
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the zone 540.
(5) Remove the ACT-Equipment Support Door or the access cover 148AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(6) Remove the wing access panel 540AB, (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(7) Open the surge door 540BZ, to get access to the bolts (1) of the overpressure protector (4).
(8) Install the 98D57004014000 HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) to hold the surge door open.
C. Get Access
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the left MLG-door actuator.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the zone 147.
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the zone 540.
(5) Remove access cover 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(6) Remove access panel 540AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(7) To get access to the bolts (1) of the overpressure protector (4):
(a) Remove RIB2 access panel 540BZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-12-000-002).
4. ProcedureWARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR DOORS ARE CLEAR.
(1) Remove the left Main Landing Gear (MLG) door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001). (2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the left MLG-door actuator.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the zone 147.
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the zone 540.
(5) Remove access cover 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(6) Remove access panel 540AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(7) To get access to the bolts (1) of the overpressure protector (4):
(a) Remove RIB2 access panel 540BZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-12-000-002).

A. Removal of the Overpressure Protector 96QM.
(1) Remove the bolts (1).
(2) Remove the overpressure protector (4).
(3) Remove and discard the O-ring (3).
(1) Remove the bolts (1).
