Subtask 28-11-47-860-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) Transfer the fuel from the Additional Center Tank(s) (ACT)(s) to the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001).
(4) Drain the remaining fuel of the ACT(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-005).
(5) On refuel/defuel control panels 801VU and 800VU, fuel control panel 40VU and on ACT control panel 28VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the refuel/defuel system.

B. Get Access

NOTE: To remove the equipment from the inner side of an ACT, it is necessary to remove the ACT from the aircraft.

(1) Remove the applicable ACT from the aft cargo compartment.
(2) FOR [226QM2] (VALVE-WATER DRAIN, ACT2)
(a) Remove ACT AFT2 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-003).
(3) FOR [226QM1] (VALVE-WATER DRAIN, ACT1)
(a) Remove ACT AFT1 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-002).

4. Procedure
Subtask 28-11-47-020-053-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the ACT Water Drain-Valve

CAUTION: DO THIS PROCEDURE ONLY IN THE WORKSHOP. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE BLADDER TANK CAN OCCUR.

(1) Send ACT AFT1 and ACT AFT2 to the workshop for the removal of the water drain valves.
