   (2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (3) Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gears (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (4) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on panels to tell person not to operate the refuel/defuel system:
  • Refuel/defuel control-panels 800VU and 801VU
  • Fuel control-panel 40VU
  • Additional Center Tank (ACT) fuel-control-panel 28VU.
   (5) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the MLG doors.

   (2) Open forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (3) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to the ON position.
   (4) Remove the ACT4.1 (if installed) (Ref. AMM D/O 28-11-27-00).
   (5) Get access to the cavity drain connection:
     (a) Remove cargo floor panel 131EC (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-000-001).
   (6) Remove sufficient carpet from the passenger compartment floor to get access to cabin floor panels 241AF and 241CF (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-000-001).
   (7) Remove cabin floor panels 241AF and 241CF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-00-00-000-801).
Subtask 28-11-00-010-083-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
H. Get Access (Aft ACT Group Test Connections)
   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below aft cargo-compartment door 826.
   (2) Open aft cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (3) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the ON position.
   (4) If installed, remove ACT1 and ACT2 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-003) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-002).
   (5) Get access to the cavity drain connections:
     (a) Remove cargo floor panels 151AY and 151AC (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-14-000-001).
   (6) Remove sufficient carpet from the passenger compartment floor to get access to cabin floor panel 241EF (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-000-001).
   (7) Remove cabin floor panel 241EF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-00-00-000-801).

I. Get Access with ACT1 installed
   (1) Remove sufficient carpet from the passenger compartment floor to get access to panel 241EF (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-000-001).
   (2) Remove the access panel 241EF.
   (3) At FR47/5, remove the access panel 154CR.

I. Get Access with ACT1 and ACT2 Installed

   (3) At FR47/5, remove the access panel 154CR.
   (4) At FR50, remove the access panel 153CR.

J. Preparation for Test on the Forward ACT Drain-Lines
   (1) At FR36:
     (a) Loosen the union (1) and disconnect the drain pipe (2) from the transfer-pipe shroud.
     (b) Loosen the union (4) and disconnect the drain pipe (3) from the vent-pipe shroud.
   (2) Connect the GROUND PRESSURE GENERATOR - 0,55 PSI (0,0379 BAR) MAX to the union (1) of the transfer shroud drain-pipe (2).
   (3) Set the pressure on the Ground Pressure Generator (GPG) to 20 mbar (0.29 psi).
   (4) At FR35.4:
     (a) Make sure that the cavity drain flexible hose (11) is disconnected from the cavity drain-pipe (10).
     (b) Install PLUG - BLANKING in the cavity drain-pipe (10).

K. Preparation for Test on the Aft ACT Group Drain-Lines
   (1) Between FR41 and FR42:
     (a) Disconnect the ACT transfer shroud-drain-pipe (9), the drain-pipe (5) and the ACT vent shroud-drain-pipe (8) from the tee-joint (7).
     (b) Connect the GROUND PRESSURE GENERATOR - 0,55 PSI (0,0379 BAR) MAX to the union (6) of the drain-pipe (5).
     (c) Set the pressure on the GPG to 20 mbar (0.29 psi).
   (2) At FR47.5 and FR50:
     (a) Make sure that the cavity drain flexible-hoses (11) are disconnected from the cavity drain-pipes (10)
     (b) Install PLUG - BLANKING in the cavity drain-pipes (10).

  • install a CAP - BLANKING on the cavity drain line (7).

  • install COVER - BLANKING on the cavity drain lines (7).

   (2) For the aft ACT group:
     (a) On the cavity drain at FR50:
       1 Disconnect the GPG from the cavity drain-pipe (10).
       2 Install the PLUG - BLANKING in the cavity drain-pipe (10).

   (2) If applicable, install the ACT4.1 (Ref. AMM D/O 28-11-27-40).
   (3) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to the OFF position.
   (4) Close forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (5) Remove the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE from below forward cargo-compartment-door 825.
   (6) Install cabin floor panels 241AF and 241CF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-00-00-400-801).
   (7) Install carpet on passenger compartment floor panels 241AF and 241CF (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-400-001).

D. Close Access with ACT1 installed
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the access panel 241EF.
   (3) Put the removed carpet back in position on the passenger compartment floor (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-400-001).
   (4) Install the access panel 154CR.

   (4) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the OFF position.
   (5) Close aft cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (6) Remove ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE from below aft cargo-compartment-door 826.
   (7) Install cabin floor panel 241EF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-00-00-400-801).
   (8) Install carpet on cabin floor panel 241EF (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-400-001).
