1. Reason for the Job
NOTE: This installation procedure includes the usual test and an additional check. The additional check is for a computer modified for the aircraft by the replacement of the OBRM(s) in the shop. If the computer installed was modified for the aircraft by the replacement of the OBRM(s) in the shop, you must do the additional check.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the access door 824 in zone 128.
   (2) Make sure that the access door 824 is open.

4. Procedure
Subtask 27-95-34-420-050-A
A. Installation of the Flight Control Data Concentrator (FCDC)
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (2).
   (4) Install the FCDC (1) on its rack (3).
   (5) Push the FCDC (1) on its rack (3) to connect electrical connectors (2).
   (6) Engage the nuts on the lugs:
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE OBRM(S) IS (ARE) CORRECTLY INSTALLED. IF IT (THEY) IS(ARE) NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY, PUSH THE OBRM(S) UNTIL THE LOCKING DEVICES ARE LOCKED.
     (a) Engage the nuts (4) on the lugs and tighten.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Additional Check
NOTE: This additional check is only necessary after the first installation of the FCDC modified for the aircraft by the replacement of the OBRM(s) in the shop.
   (1) Do the procedure to get access to the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST F/CTL page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-006).
NOTE: The actions and results of this procedure occur on the MCDU you use.
NOTE: This test is for the system 1. For the other system(s), use the indications between the parentheses.

RESULT
1.Push the line key adjacent to the EFCS 1(2) indication.
  • The EFCS 1(2) menu page comes into view.
2.Push the line key adjacent to the LRU IDENTIFICATION indication.
  • The LRU IDENTIFICATION page comes into view.
   (2) Make sure that the P/N shown on the LRU IDENTIFICATION page is the same as the computer P/N (given on the front face).
     (a) If the P/N is not the same and if you installed a FCDC P/N different of the 2 P/N: 115370-1216 and 115370-1318, you must remove the computer and return it to the shop.
     (b) If the P/N is not the same and if you installed a FCDC P/N 115370-1216 or 115370-1318: refer to LITEF VSB 115370-27-008.
NOTE: It is possible that the LRU IDENTIFICATION page on the MCDU gives an incorrect P/N (115370-1016 or 115370-1118) although the correct P/N (115370-1216 or 115370-1318) shown on the FCDC Front Face is installed. The LITEF VSB 115370-27-008 application is necessary to correct the P/N (on LRU IDENTIFICATION page).

D. Additional Check
NOTE: This additional check is only necessary after the first installation of the FCDC modified for the aircraft by the replacement of the OBRM(s) in the shop.
   (1) Do the procedure to get access to the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST F/CTL page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-006).
NOTE: The actions and results of this procedure occur on the MCDU you use.
NOTE: This test is for the system 1. For the other system(s), use the indications between the parentheses.

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
