Installation of the Bellows of the New-Generation Side Stick Unit (SSU)
NOTE: This task is applicable only for the new-generation side-stick unit. For the other side-stick assemblies, refer to the procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 27-92-41-400-009). To know if the side-stick installed on the aircraft is a new-generation side-stick unit, refer to the procedure (Ref. AMM 27-92-41-860-801).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the aircraft hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the access door 822.
(2) Make sure that the access door 822 is open.
(3) On the battery power center 105VU:

D. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the cover panel is removed.
(2) Make sure that 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING (10) is installed.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) which tells persons not to operate the side-stick is in position.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the cover panel is removed.
(2) Make sure that 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING (10) is installed.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) which tells persons not to operate the side-stick is in position.

A. Remove the protection from the side-stick opening and make sure that no unwanted materials went into the side-stick opening before you install the bellows (3).
Subtask 27-92-41-420-065-A B. Installation of the Bellows of the New-Generation Side-Stick
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Put the bellows (3) in position.
(4) Fold the bellows (3) on the control handle (1) and attach it with a new AIPC 27-92-41-03-030 COLLAR-CLAMP (2) as follows:
(a) Wind the collar-clamp (2) around the bellows (3).
(b) Tighten the collar-clamp (2).
(5) Put the bellows (3) in position on the support (5) and attach it with a new AIPC 27-92-41-03-050 LIGATURE CORD (4) as follows:
(a) Wind the ligature cord (4) around the bellows (3).
(b) Tighten the ligature cord (4) and attach it.
(c) Bond the knot with Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) .
5. Close-up(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Put the bellows (3) in position.
(4) Fold the bellows (3) on the control handle (1) and attach it with a new AIPC 27-92-41-03-030 COLLAR-CLAMP (2) as follows:
(a) Wind the collar-clamp (2) around the bellows (3).
(b) Tighten the collar-clamp (2).
(5) Put the bellows (3) in position on the support (5) and attach it with a new AIPC 27-92-41-03-050 LIGATURE CORD (4) as follows:
(a) Wind the ligature cord (4) around the bellows (3).
(b) Tighten the ligature cord (4) and attach it.
(c) Bond the knot with Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) .

A. Remove the 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING (10) and the warning notice from the side-stick.

(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Put the cover (3) in position.
(4) Install the washers (5), the washer (7), the screws (4) and the screw (6). Tighten the screws. Lock the catches (2).
(5) Release the lock (8). Install the handle (1).

(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Put the cover (3) in position.

B. Installation of the cover of the panel.
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Put the cover (3) in position.
(4) Install the screws (2) and tighten them.
(5) Install the washers (5), the washer (7), the screws (4) and the screw (6). Tighten the screws.
(6) Install the handle (1) and the screws (8). Tighten the screws.

(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Put the cover (3) in position.

(5) Install the washers (5), the washer (7), the screws (4) and the screw (6). Tighten the screws.
(6) Install the handle (1) and the screws (8). Tighten the screws.
D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(1) Install the protective cover on the battery power center 105VU.
(2) Tighten the two screws.
(3) Close the access door 822.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
