Removal of the Radio PTT Switch (Alternative Procedure)
NOTE: This task is not applicable for the new-generation side-stick unit. For the new-generation side-stick unit, refer to the procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 27-92-41-000-803). To know if the side-stick installed on the aircraft is a new generation side-stick unit, refer to the procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 27-92-41-860-801).
1. Reason for the JobTo remove the radio PTT switch without removal of the side stick control-handle. This alternative procedure uses splices.

B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the access door 822.
(2) Open the access door 822.
(3) On the battery power center 105VU:

- loosen the two screws and remove the protective cover.

A. Removal of the Radio PTT Switch (11RN,12RN) (Alternative Procedure)
(1) Remove the screws (100). Remove the cover plate (101).
(2) Remove the blanking plug (113), the nut (112), the washer (111) and the trigger(110).
(3) Remove the nut (109), the washer (103).
(4) Remove the PTT switch (105) with the washer (102) from the side stick control-handle.
(5) Do a visual check of the PTT switch wires to see if there are splices already installed:
(a) If there are splices installed:
1 Use the extraction/insertion tool P/N M81969/14.01 from the DMC519 ELECTRICIAN SERVICE TOOL KIT ESPM 2056420 to disconnect the PTT switch wires from the splices.
2 Remove the PTT switch (105).
(b) If there is no splice installed:
1 Cut the wires of the PTT switch as follows:
a Before you cut the wires, make sure that the two identification-labels stay on the wires, on the control-handle side.
b On the two wires, measure 40 mm distance "A" from the studs of the PTT switch and make a mark on each wire.
c Cut the two wires at these marks.
2 Remove the PTT switch (105).
3 Install a pin contact NSA937910EA2200 ESPM 2048250 at the end of each wire on the control-handle side.
4 On the control-handle side, use the extraction/insertion tool P/N M81969/14.01 from the DMC519 ELECTRICIAN SERVICE TOOL KIT ESPM 2056420 to connect the two wires to splices NSA936830-22 ESPM 2043130.
(1) Remove the screws (100). Remove the cover plate (101).
(2) Remove the blanking plug (113), the nut (112), the washer (111) and the trigger(110).
(3) Remove the nut (109), the washer (103).
(4) Remove the PTT switch (105) with the washer (102) from the side stick control-handle.
(5) Do a visual check of the PTT switch wires to see if there are splices already installed:
(a) If there are splices installed:
1 Use the extraction/insertion tool P/N M81969/14.01 from the DMC519 ELECTRICIAN SERVICE TOOL KIT ESPM 2056420 to disconnect the PTT switch wires from the splices.
2 Remove the PTT switch (105).
(b) If there is no splice installed:
1 Cut the wires of the PTT switch as follows:
