Removal of the Solenoid
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE SIDE STICK ASSEMBLY STAYS IN THE VERTICAL POSITION DURING THE MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES.
IF NOT THERE IS A RISK OF SKYDROL LEAKAGE.
SKYDROL CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
NOTE: This task is not applicable for the new-generation side-stick unit. For the new-generation side-stick unit, refer to the procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 27-92-41-000-802). To know if the side-stick installed on the aircraft is a new-generation side-stick unit, refer to the procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 27-92-41-860-801).

A. Removal of the Side Stick Lock-Solenoid
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (63) from the solenoid (64).
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Cut and discard the lockwire from the screws (60).
(4) Remove the screws (60), the washers (61) and the solenoid (64).
