Removal of the Side Stick Assembly
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE SIDE STICK ASSEMBLY STAYS IN THE VERTICAL POSITION DURING THE MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES.
IF NOT THERE IS A RISK OF SKYDROL LEAKAGE.
SKYDROL CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
NOTE: This task is not applicable for the new-generation side-stick unit. For the new-generation side-stick unit, refer to the procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 27-92-41-000-802). To know if the side-stick installed on the aircraft is a new-generation side-stick unit, refer to the procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 27-92-41-860-801).

B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the access door 822.
(2) Open the access door 822.
(3) On the battery power center 105VU:

- loosen the two screws and remove the protective cover.

E. Removal of the Cover panel.
(1) Release the lock (9) and remove the handle (1).
(2) Remove the screws (4), screw (8), screw (6), washers (5) and washer (7).
(3) Release the fasteners (2) and remove the cover (3).
Subtask 27-92-41-010-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Release the lock (9) and remove the handle (1).
(2) Remove the screws (4), screw (8), screw (6), washers (5) and washer (7).
(3) Release the fasteners (2) and remove the cover (3).
E. Removal of the Cover panel.
(1) Remove the screws (9) and the handle (1).
(2) Remove the screws (4), screw (8), screw (6), washers (5) and washer (7).
(3) Release the fasteners (2) and remove the cover (3).
Subtask 27-92-41-480-050-A (1) Remove the screws (9) and the handle (1).
(2) Remove the screws (4), screw (8), screw (6), washers (5) and washer (7).
(3) Release the fasteners (2) and remove the cover (3).
F. Installation of the Tools
(1) Put the 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING (10) in position on the central universal joint.
(2) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) on the side stick to tell persons not to operate the side stick.
4. Procedure(1) Put the 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING (10) in position on the central universal joint.
(2) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) on the side stick to tell persons not to operate the side stick.
Subtask 27-92-41-020-050-A
A. Removal of the Side Stick Assembly (11).
(1) Remove the screws (26) and the washers (25). Disengage the side stick assembly (11) from its support (12).
(2) Disconnect the electrical connectors (13), (14), (15), (22), (23) and (24) and make a mark on them.
(3) Remove the side stick assembly (11) and install it on the 98D27303001001 HOLDER - SIDE STICK.
(4) Put CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connectors (13), (14), (15), (16), (17), (18), (19), (20), (21), (22), (23) and (24).
Subtask 27-92-41-010-060-A (1) Remove the screws (26) and the washers (25). Disengage the side stick assembly (11) from its support (12).
(2) Disconnect the electrical connectors (13), (14), (15), (22), (23) and (24) and make a mark on them.
(3) Remove the side stick assembly (11) and install it on the 98D27303001001 HOLDER - SIDE STICK.
(4) Put CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connectors (13), (14), (15), (16), (17), (18), (19), (20), (21), (22), (23) and (24).
B. Removal of the Casing (If installed)
(2) Remove the casing assembly (27) and (30).
NOTE: The removal of the casing is given to get access to the components
(1) Remove the eight screws (28) and the washers (29). (2) Remove the casing assembly (27) and (30).
