3. Job Set-up
Subtask 27-92-27-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position on the CAPT and F/O pedals and on the panel 408VU.
   (4) Make sure that the panel 211GF at zone 211 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-12-11-000-001).
   (5) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at zone 121.
   (6) Make sure that the access door 811 is open.
   (7) Make sure that the 98A27901002000 PIN-RIGGING,RUDDER CONTROL (1) is in position on the CAPT yaw/brake bellcrank.

4. Procedure
Subtask 27-92-27-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Rudder Pedal Force Transducer Unit (FTU)
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Put the FTU (2) in position between the tension regulator (3) and the CAPT yaw/brake bellcrank (9).
   (4) Install the bolts (4), washers (5) and nuts (6), and tighten.
   (5) Install new AIPC 27-21-01-01-010 COTTER PINS (7) or AIPC 27-21-81-01-010 COTTER PINS (7).
   (6) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (7) Make sure that the length from the centerline of the last clamp to electrical connector 74CE-A (8) is 190 -10 mm or +10 mm (7.4803 -0.3937 in. or +0.3937 in.).
   (8) Connect the electrical connector (8) to the FTU (2).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Do the adjustment of the FTU (Ref. AMM TASK 27-21-00-820-003).

D. Tests
   (1) Do the operational test of the rudder hydraulic actuation (Ref. AMM TASK 27-24-00-710-001).
   (2) Do the BITE Test of the EFCS (Ground Scanning) to make sure that there is no failure of the FTU (Ref. AMM TASK 27-96-00-740-001).
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Install the panel 211GF at zone 211 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-12-11-400-001).
   (4) Close the access door 811.
   (5) Remove the access platform(s).
