WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
NOTE: If the label with the asymmetric offset value on the track 3 is missing or nonreadable, refer to SB 27-1034 or ISI 27.54.00002.
1. Reason for the JobFlap rigging is done:
- when specified in an AMM Task
- when specified in a TSM Task

A. Flap Rigging - General Information
(1) General:
(a) The position of a correctly rigged flap gives the correct relation between:
(b) To rigg the flaps correctly, eccentric bearings in the attachments at the flap tracks are adjusted.
At each track there are two eccentric bearings:
The main eccentric bearing is the spherical bearing at the flap carriage attachment and is used for standard rigging. Movement of this bearing causes the complete flap to move vertically in relation to the wing.
You adjust the height of the complete flap.
(3) Forward eccentric bearing:
The forward eccentric bearing is on the flap drive-arm and is adjusted only for asymmetric rigging conditions (if this aircraft has an asymmetric rigging value.
For more information refer to ISI 27.54.00002.
You adjust only the trailing edge of the flap that means the trailing edge moves vertically.
