A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Put the rudder pedals in the neutral position.
(2) Make sure that the rudder trim control is set at the zero position.
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the flight compartment to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.

B. Removal of the Rudder Servo Control
(1) Remove the rudder servo control (Ref. AMM TASK 27-24-51-000-001).
(2) Take the rudder servo control to a workshop bench and clamp it so that you can do work on the eye end.
4. Procedure(1) Remove the rudder servo control (Ref. AMM TASK 27-24-51-000-001).

Subtask 27-24-51-020-055-A
A. Removal of the Rudder Servo Control Eye End with Tool 56724S0000
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (10).
(b) Remove the nut (8) and the washer (9).
(c) Remove the bolt (5) and the bush (6).
(d) Release the lever (12) from the input and feedback lever (11).
(2) Remove the lockwire:
(3) Attach the spanner to the eye end (1).
(6) Remove the lever (2) with the lever (12) from the eye end (1).
(7) Remove the locking washer (3) from the piston rod (4).
Subtask 27-24-51-020-059-A NOTE: The removal with tool 56724S0000 is given here. You can also use tool 6498A0000-01 SPANNER SET (refer to SUBTASK 27-24-51-020-059-A).
(1) Disconnect the lever (12) as follows: (a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (10).
(b) Remove the nut (8) and the washer (9).
(c) Remove the bolt (5) and the bush (6).
(d) Release the lever (12) from the input and feedback lever (11).
(2) Remove the lockwire:
WARNING:
USE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the lever (2) and the locking washer (3). (3) Attach the spanner to the eye end (1).
NOTE: The spanner is part of the 56724S0000 SPANNER SET.
(4) Hold the piston rod (4) at the key faces and remove the eye end (1). NOTE: A torque force of between 10.5 m.daN (77.43 lbf.ft) and 14.5 m.daN (106.93 lbf.ft) will be necessary to release the eye end (1).
(5) Remove the spanner from the eye end (1). (6) Remove the lever (2) with the lever (12) from the eye end (1).
(7) Remove the locking washer (3) from the piston rod (4).
B. Removal of the Rudder Servo Control Eye End with Tool 6498A0000-01
(1) Disconnect the lever (12) as follows:
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (10).
(b) Remove the nut (8) and the washer (9).
(c) Remove the bolt (5) and the bush (6).
(d) Release the lever (12) from the input and feedback lever (11).
(2) Remove the lockwire:
(3) Attach the spanner to the eye end (1).
(6) Remove the lever (2) with the lever (12) from the eye end (1).
(7) Remove the locking washer (3) from the piston rod (4).
(1) Disconnect the lever (12) as follows:
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (10).

(c) Remove the bolt (5) and the bush (6).
(d) Release the lever (12) from the input and feedback lever (11).
(2) Remove the lockwire:
