Subtask 27-22-51-860-051-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Do the Electronic Instrument System (EIS) start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3) On the ECAM control panel, push the F/CTL key:
(a) On the SD, the F/CTL page comes into view.
(4) Make sure that the pedals are in the neutral position.
(5) On the center pedestal, on RUD TRIM/PARKING BRK panel 110VU, make sure that the RUD TRIM indicator shows 0.
(6) On the overhead panel, on FLT CTL panel 23VU, release the ELAC 1, SEC 1 and FAC 1 pushbutton switches (the OFF legends come on).
(7) On the overhead panel, on FLT CTL panel 24VU, release the ELAC 2, SEC 2 and FAC 2 pushbutton switches (the OFF legends come on).
(8) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized and put them in the maintenance configuration
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
Subtask 27-22-51-010-051-A (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Do the Electronic Instrument System (EIS) start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3) On the ECAM control panel, push the F/CTL key:
(a) On the SD, the F/CTL page comes into view.
(4) Make sure that the pedals are in the neutral position.
(5) On the center pedestal, on RUD TRIM/PARKING BRK panel 110VU, make sure that the RUD TRIM indicator shows 0.

B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below access door 822.
(2) Open access door 822.
(3) On battery power center 105VU:
(a) Loosen the two screws.
(b) Remove the protective cover.

(2) Open access door 822.
(3) On battery power center 105VU:
(a) Loosen the two screws.
(b) Remove the protective cover.

D. Safety Precautions
(1) In the cockpit:
(a) Install the 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING in the CAPT and the F/O side sticks.
(b) Put the 98D27403500000 PITCH TRIM CONTROL LOCKING on the pitch trim control-wheel (Ref. AMM TASK 27-00-00-480-001).
(c) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position:
(a) Open access doors 197CB, 198CB and 197EB.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position:
Subtask 27-22-51-010-050-B (1) In the cockpit:
(a) Install the 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING in the CAPT and the F/O side sticks.
(b) Put the 98D27403500000 PITCH TRIM CONTROL LOCKING on the pitch trim control-wheel (Ref. AMM TASK 27-00-00-480-001).
(c) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position:
- On the overhead panel, on the HYD section of HYD/FUEL panel 40VU, to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic systems
- On the overhead panel, on FLT CTL panels 23VU and 24VU, to tell persons not to push the ELAC, SEC and FAC pushbutton switches
- On the center pedestal, on RUD TRIM/PARKING BRK panel 110VU, on the RUD TRIM control switch, to tell persons not to operate it
- On the flight controls, to tell persons not to operate them.
(a) Open access doors 197CB, 198CB and 197EB.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position:
- On the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system, to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system
- On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system, to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system
- On the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system, to tell persons not to pressurize the Blue hydraulic system.
E. Get Access
Rigging Pin Locations for the Replacement of the Rudder Trim Actuator - PNs 6137-3 and 6137-4/6137-5
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 10M (33 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position in zone 325.
(2) At the trailing edge of the vertical stabilizer (45):
(a) Open access panels 325BL and 325BR (Ref. AMM TASK 55-33-13-010-002).
(b) Put the 98D27207548000 PIN-RIGGING (47) in the mixer (48) of the artificial-feel spring rod (54).
4. Procedure
Rigging Pin Locations for the Replacement of the Rudder Trim Actuator - PNs 6137-3 and 6137-4/6137-5 (2) At the trailing edge of the vertical stabilizer (45):
(a) Open access panels 325BL and 325BR (Ref. AMM TASK 55-33-13-010-002).
(b) Put the 98D27207548000 PIN-RIGGING (47) in the mixer (48) of the artificial-feel spring rod (54).
Subtask 27-22-51-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Rudder Trim Actuator (Part Number (PN) 6137-3)
(1) Disconnect the hydraulic bracket (30) from the rudder control frame (57):
(a) Remove the nuts (33) and the washers (32).
(b) Remove the bolts (31).
(c) Do not disconnect the hydraulic line end-fittings from the hydraulic bracket (30).
(2) Remove the bonding straps (25) from the rudder control frame (57):
(a) Remove the bolts (23) and the washers (24).
(b) Move the bonding straps (25) away from the rudder control frame (57).
(c) Do not disconnect the bonding straps (25) from the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(3) Disconnect the links (20) from the rudder control frame (57):
(b) Remove the nuts (28) and the washers (29).
(c) Remove the bolts (21) and the sliding bushes (22).
(d) Disengage the links (20) from the rudder control frame (57).

(f) Do not disconnect the links (20) from the support brackets of the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(4) Removal of the rudder trim actuator (8):
(a) Make sure that there are identification marks on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16).
(b) If there are no identification marks on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16), make identification marks on them.
(d) Put the CAP - BLANKING on the receptacles (14) and (15) and on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16).
(e) Do not disconnect the bonding straps (17) and (19) from electrical connectors A (18) and B (16) unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(f) If you must install a rudder trim actuator PN 6137-4 or 6137-5:
1 Remove the bonding straps (17) and (19) from electrical connectors A (18) and B (16) and from the structure.
2 Install the new bonding straps (17) and (19) for the rudder trim actuator (8) (PN 6137-4 or 6137-5) on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16) and on the structure.
(h) Remove the bolt (4), washer (3) and bonding strap (2) from the rudder trim actuator (8).
(i) Do not disconnect the bonding strap (2) from the bracket (12) unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(j) Remove the bolts (9) and the washers (10) from the rudder trim actuator (8).
(k) Move the rudder trim actuator (8) down and disengage the splined shaft (5) from the universal joint (13).
(l) Make sure that you do not turn the universal joint (13) until you install the rudder trim actuator (8) again.
(m) Carefully move the bottom part of the rudder control frame (57) rearward.
(n) Remove the rudder trim actuator (8) to the right side.
(5) If you install the same rudder trim actuator (8) again, do these steps:
(a) Make sure that the mobile red index is in the zero position on the position indicator of the rudder trim actuator (8).
(c) Remove the plug (7) from the rigging hole of the rudder trim actuator (8).
(d) Install the 6137-013 PIN-LOCKING (6) on the rigging hole of the rudder trim actuator (8).
(e) Install the plug (7) on the storage hole of the rudder trim actuator (8).
Subtask 27-22-51-020-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Disconnect the hydraulic bracket (30) from the rudder control frame (57):
(a) Remove the nuts (33) and the washers (32).
(b) Remove the bolts (31).
(c) Do not disconnect the hydraulic line end-fittings from the hydraulic bracket (30).
(2) Remove the bonding straps (25) from the rudder control frame (57):
(a) Remove the bolts (23) and the washers (24).
(b) Move the bonding straps (25) away from the rudder control frame (57).
(c) Do not disconnect the bonding straps (25) from the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(3) Disconnect the links (20) from the rudder control frame (57):
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pins (27).(b) Remove the nuts (28) and the washers (29).
(c) Remove the bolts (21) and the sliding bushes (22).
(d) Disengage the links (20) from the rudder control frame (57).
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(e) Temporarily safety the sliding bushes (22) on the links (20) with the lockwire (f) Do not disconnect the links (20) from the support brackets of the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(4) Removal of the rudder trim actuator (8):
(a) Make sure that there are identification marks on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16).
(b) If there are no identification marks on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16), make identification marks on them.
NOTE: These identification marks are important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(c) Disconnect electrical connectors A (18) and B (16) from the receptacles (14) and (15). (d) Put the CAP - BLANKING on the receptacles (14) and (15) and on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16).
(e) Do not disconnect the bonding straps (17) and (19) from electrical connectors A (18) and B (16) unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(f) If you must install a rudder trim actuator PN 6137-4 or 6137-5:
1 Remove the bonding straps (17) and (19) from electrical connectors A (18) and B (16) and from the structure.
2 Install the new bonding straps (17) and (19) for the rudder trim actuator (8) (PN 6137-4 or 6137-5) on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16) and on the structure.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(g) Cut, remove and discard the lockwire from the bolts (4) and (9). (h) Remove the bolt (4), washer (3) and bonding strap (2) from the rudder trim actuator (8).
(i) Do not disconnect the bonding strap (2) from the bracket (12) unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(j) Remove the bolts (9) and the washers (10) from the rudder trim actuator (8).
(k) Move the rudder trim actuator (8) down and disengage the splined shaft (5) from the universal joint (13).
(l) Make sure that you do not turn the universal joint (13) until you install the rudder trim actuator (8) again.
(m) Carefully move the bottom part of the rudder control frame (57) rearward.
(n) Remove the rudder trim actuator (8) to the right side.
(5) If you install the same rudder trim actuator (8) again, do these steps:
(a) Make sure that the mobile red index is in the zero position on the position indicator of the rudder trim actuator (8).
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(b) Cut, remove and discard the lockwire from the plug (7). (c) Remove the plug (7) from the rigging hole of the rudder trim actuator (8).
(d) Install the 6137-013 PIN-LOCKING (6) on the rigging hole of the rudder trim actuator (8).
(e) Install the plug (7) on the storage hole of the rudder trim actuator (8).
A. Removal of the Rudder Trim Actuator (Part Number (PN) 6137-3)
(1) Disconnect the hydraulic bracket (41) from the rudder control frame (57):
(a) Remove the nuts (44) and the washers (43).
(b) Remove the bolts (42).
(c) Do not disconnect the hydraulic line end-fittings from the hydraulic bracket (41).
(2) Remove the bonding strap (26) from the rudder control frame (57):
(a) Remove the bolt (24) and the washer (25).
(b) Move the bonding strap (26) away from the rudder control frame (57).
(c) Do not disconnect the bonding strap (26) from the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(3) Remove the bonding strap (35) from the rudder control frame (57):
(a) Remove the bolt (37) and the washer (36).
(b) Move the bonding strap (35) away from the rudder control frame (57).
(c) Do not disconnect the bonding strap (35) from the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(4) Disconnect the link (20) from the rudder control frame (57):
(b) Remove the nut (21) and the washer (22).
(c) Remove the bolt (28) and the sliding bush (29).
(d) Disengage the link (20) from the rudder control frame (57).

(f) Do not disconnect the link (20) from the support brackets of the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(5) Disconnect the rocker (40) from the rudder control frame (57):
(b) Remove the nuts (33) and the washers (32).
(c) Remove the bolt (30) and the two sliding bushes (31).
(d) Remove the bolt (38) and the sliding bush (39).
(e) Disengage the rocker (40) from the rudder control frame (57).

(g) Do not disconnect the rocker (40) from the support brackets of the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(6) Removal of the rudder trim actuator (8):
(a) Make sure that there are identification marks on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16).
(b) If there are no identification marks on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16), make identification marks on them.
(d) Put the CAP - BLANKING on the receptacles (14) and (15) and electrical connectors A (18) and B (16).
(e) Do not disconnect the bonding straps (17) and (19) from electrical connectors A (18) and B (16) unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(f) If you must install a rudder trim actuator PN 6137-4 or 6137-5:
1 Remove the bonding straps (17) and (19) from electrical connectors A (18) and B (16) and from the structure.
2 Install the new bonding straps (17) and (19) for the rudder trim actuator (8) (PN 6137-4 or 6137-5) on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16) and on the structure.
(h) Remove the bolt (4), washer (3) and bonding strap (2) from the rudder trim actuator (8).
(i) Do not disconnect the bonding strap (2) from the bracket (12) unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(j) Remove the bolts (9) and the washers (10) from the rudder trim actuator (8).
(k) Move the rudder trim actuator (8) down and disengage the splined shaft (5) from the universal joint (13).
(l) Make sure that you do not turn the universal joint (13) until you install the rudder trim actuator (8) again.
(m) Carefully move the bottom part of the rudder control frame (57) rearward.
(n) Remove the rudder trim actuator (8) to the right side.
(7) If you install the same rudder trim actuator (8) again, do these steps:
(a) Make sure that the mobile red index is in the zero position on the position indicator of the rudder trim actuator (8).
(c) Remove the plug (7) from the rigging hole of the rudder trim actuator (8).
(d) Install the 6137-013 PIN-LOCKING (6) in the rigging hole of the rudder trim actuator (8).
(e) Install the plug (7) on the storage hole of the rudder trim actuator (8).
Subtask 27-22-51-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Disconnect the hydraulic bracket (41) from the rudder control frame (57):
(a) Remove the nuts (44) and the washers (43).
(b) Remove the bolts (42).
(c) Do not disconnect the hydraulic line end-fittings from the hydraulic bracket (41).
(2) Remove the bonding strap (26) from the rudder control frame (57):
(a) Remove the bolt (24) and the washer (25).
(b) Move the bonding strap (26) away from the rudder control frame (57).
(c) Do not disconnect the bonding strap (26) from the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(3) Remove the bonding strap (35) from the rudder control frame (57):
(a) Remove the bolt (37) and the washer (36).
(b) Move the bonding strap (35) away from the rudder control frame (57).
(c) Do not disconnect the bonding strap (35) from the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(4) Disconnect the link (20) from the rudder control frame (57):
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.

(e) Temporarily safety the sliding bush (29) on the link (20) with the lockwire (f) Do not disconnect the link (20) from the support brackets of the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(5) Disconnect the rocker (40) from the rudder control frame (57):
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pins (34).(b) Remove the nuts (33) and the washers (32).
(c) Remove the bolt (30) and the two sliding bushes (31).
(d) Remove the bolt (38) and the sliding bush (39).
(e) Disengage the rocker (40) from the rudder control frame (57).
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(f) Temporarily safety the sliding bushes (31) and (39) on the rocker (40) with the (g) Do not disconnect the rocker (40) from the support brackets of the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(6) Removal of the rudder trim actuator (8):
(a) Make sure that there are identification marks on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16).
(b) If there are no identification marks on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16), make identification marks on them.
NOTE: These identification marks are important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(c) Disconnect electrical connectors A (18) and B (16) from the receptacles (14) and (15). (d) Put the CAP - BLANKING on the receptacles (14) and (15) and electrical connectors A (18) and B (16).
(e) Do not disconnect the bonding straps (17) and (19) from electrical connectors A (18) and B (16) unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(f) If you must install a rudder trim actuator PN 6137-4 or 6137-5:
1 Remove the bonding straps (17) and (19) from electrical connectors A (18) and B (16) and from the structure.
2 Install the new bonding straps (17) and (19) for the rudder trim actuator (8) (PN 6137-4 or 6137-5) on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16) and on the structure.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(g) Cut, remove and discard the lockwire from the bolts (4) and (9). (h) Remove the bolt (4), washer (3) and bonding strap (2) from the rudder trim actuator (8).
(i) Do not disconnect the bonding strap (2) from the bracket (12) unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(j) Remove the bolts (9) and the washers (10) from the rudder trim actuator (8).
(k) Move the rudder trim actuator (8) down and disengage the splined shaft (5) from the universal joint (13).
(l) Make sure that you do not turn the universal joint (13) until you install the rudder trim actuator (8) again.
(m) Carefully move the bottom part of the rudder control frame (57) rearward.
(n) Remove the rudder trim actuator (8) to the right side.
(7) If you install the same rudder trim actuator (8) again, do these steps:
(a) Make sure that the mobile red index is in the zero position on the position indicator of the rudder trim actuator (8).
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(b) Cut, remove and discard the lockwire from the plug (7). (c) Remove the plug (7) from the rigging hole of the rudder trim actuator (8).
(d) Install the 6137-013 PIN-LOCKING (6) in the rigging hole of the rudder trim actuator (8).
(e) Install the plug (7) on the storage hole of the rudder trim actuator (8).
B. Removal of the Rudder Trim Actuator (PN 6137-4 or 6137-5)
(1) Disconnect the hydraulic bracket (30) from the rudder control frame (57):
(a) Remove the nuts (33) and the washers (32).
(b) Remove the bolts (31).
(c) Do not disconnect the hydraulic line end-fittings from the hydraulic bracket (30).
(2) Remove the bonding straps (25) from the rudder control frame (57):
(a) Remove the bolts (23) and the washers (24).
(b) Move the bonding straps (25) away from the rudder control frame (57).
(c) Do not disconnect the bonding straps (25) from the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(3) Disconnect the links (20) from the rudder control frame (57):
(b) Remove the nuts (28) and the washers (29).
(c) Remove the bolts (21) and the sliding bushes (22).
(d) Disengage the links (20) from the rudder control frame (57).

(f) Do not disconnect the links (20) from the support brackets of the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(4) Removal of the rudder trim actuator (8):
(a) Make sure that there are identification marks on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16).
(b) If there are no identification marks on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16), make identification marks on them.
(d) Put the CAP - BLANKING on the receptacles (14) and (15) and electrical connectors A (18) and B (16).
(e) Do not disconnect the bonding straps (17) and (19) from electrical connectors A (18) and B (16) unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(g) Remove the bolt (4), washer (3) and bonding strap (2) from the rudder trim actuator (8).
(h) Do not disconnect the bonding strap (2) from the bracket (12) unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(i) Remove the bolts (9) and the washers (10) from the rudder trim actuator (8).
(j) Move the rudder trim actuator (8) down and disengage the splined shaft (5) from the universal joint (13).
(k) Make sure that you do not turn the universal joint (13) until you install the rudder trim actuator (8) again.
(l) Carefully move the bottom part of the rudder control frame (57) rearward.
(m) Remove the rudder trim actuator (8) to the right side.
(5) If you will install the same rudder trim actuator (8), do these steps:
(a) Make sure that the mobile red index is in the zero position on the position indicator of the rudder trim actuator (8).
(c) Remove the plug (7) from the rigging hole of the rudder trim actuator (8).
(d) Install the 6137-060 PIN - LOCKING (6) on the rigging hole of the rudder trim actuator (8).
Subtask 27-22-51-020-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Disconnect the hydraulic bracket (30) from the rudder control frame (57):
(a) Remove the nuts (33) and the washers (32).
(b) Remove the bolts (31).
(c) Do not disconnect the hydraulic line end-fittings from the hydraulic bracket (30).
(2) Remove the bonding straps (25) from the rudder control frame (57):
(a) Remove the bolts (23) and the washers (24).
(b) Move the bonding straps (25) away from the rudder control frame (57).
(c) Do not disconnect the bonding straps (25) from the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(3) Disconnect the links (20) from the rudder control frame (57):

(a) Remove and discard the cotter pins (27). (b) Remove the nuts (28) and the washers (29).
(c) Remove the bolts (21) and the sliding bushes (22).
(d) Disengage the links (20) from the rudder control frame (57).

USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(e) Temporarily safety the sliding bushes (22) on the links (20) with the lockwire (f) Do not disconnect the links (20) from the support brackets of the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(4) Removal of the rudder trim actuator (8):
(a) Make sure that there are identification marks on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16).
(b) If there are no identification marks on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16), make identification marks on them.
NOTE: These identification marks are important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(c) Disconnect electrical connectors A (18) and B (16) from the receptacles (14) and (15). (d) Put the CAP - BLANKING on the receptacles (14) and (15) and electrical connectors A (18) and B (16).
(e) Do not disconnect the bonding straps (17) and (19) from electrical connectors A (18) and B (16) unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(f) Cut, remove and discard the lockwire from the bolts (4) and (9). (g) Remove the bolt (4), washer (3) and bonding strap (2) from the rudder trim actuator (8).
(h) Do not disconnect the bonding strap (2) from the bracket (12) unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(i) Remove the bolts (9) and the washers (10) from the rudder trim actuator (8).
(j) Move the rudder trim actuator (8) down and disengage the splined shaft (5) from the universal joint (13).
(k) Make sure that you do not turn the universal joint (13) until you install the rudder trim actuator (8) again.
(l) Carefully move the bottom part of the rudder control frame (57) rearward.
(m) Remove the rudder trim actuator (8) to the right side.
(5) If you will install the same rudder trim actuator (8), do these steps:
(a) Make sure that the mobile red index is in the zero position on the position indicator of the rudder trim actuator (8).
WARNING:

(d) Install the 6137-060 PIN - LOCKING (6) on the rigging hole of the rudder trim actuator (8).
B. Removal of the Rudder Trim Actuator (PN 6137-4 or 6137-5)
(1) Disconnect the hydraulic bracket (41) from the rudder control frame (57):
(a) Remove the nuts (44) and the washers (43).
(b) Remove the bolts (42).
(c) Do not disconnect the hydraulic line end-fittings from the hydraulic bracket (41).
(2) Remove the bonding strap (26) from the rudder control frame (57):
(a) Remove the bolt (24) and the washer (25).
(b) Move the bonding strap (26) away from the rudder control frame (57).
(c) Do not disconnect the bonding strap (26) from the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(3) Remove the bonding strap (35) from the rudder control frame (57):
(a) Remove the bolt (37) and the washer (36).
(b) Move the bonding strap (35) away from the rudder control frame (57).
(c) Do not disconnect the bonding strap (35) from the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(4) Disconnect the link (20) from the rudder control frame (57):
(b) Remove the nut (21) and the washer (22).
(c) Remove the bolt (28) and the sliding bush (29).
(d) Disengage the link (20) from the rudder control frame (57).

(5) Disconnect the rocker (40) from the rudder control frame (57):

(d) Remove the bolt (38) and the sliding bush (39).
(e) Disengage the rocker (40) from the rudder control frame (57).

(g) Do not disconnect the rocker (40) from the support brackets of the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(6) Removal of the rudder trim actuator (8):

(d) Put the CAP - BLANKING on the receptacles (14) and (15) and electrical connectors A (18) and B (16).

(h) Do not disconnect the bonding strap (2) from the bracket (12) unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(i) Remove the bolts (9) and the washers (10) from the rudder trim actuator (8).
(j) Move the rudder trim actuator (8) down and disengage the splined shaft (5) from the universal joint (13).
(k) Make sure that you do not turn the universal joint (13) until you install the rudder trim actuator (8) again.
(l) Carefully move the bottom part of the rudder control frame (57) rearward.
(m) Remove the rudder trim actuator (8) to the right side.
(7) If you will install the same rudder trim actuator (8), do these steps:
(a) Make sure that the mobile red index is in the zero position on the position indicator of the rudder trim actuator (8).
(c) Remove the plug (7) from the rigging hole of the rudder trim actuator (8).
(d) Install the 6137-060 PIN - LOCKING (6) in the rigging hole of the rudder trim actuator (8).

(a) Remove the nuts (44) and the washers (43).

(b) Move the bonding strap (26) away from the rudder control frame (57).
(c) Do not disconnect the bonding strap (26) from the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(3) Remove the bonding strap (35) from the rudder control frame (57):
(a) Remove the bolt (37) and the washer (36).
(b) Move the bonding strap (35) away from the rudder control frame (57).
(c) Do not disconnect the bonding strap (35) from the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(4) Disconnect the link (20) from the rudder control frame (57):

(c) Remove the bolt (28) and the sliding bush (29).
(d) Disengage the link (20) from the rudder control frame (57).

(e) Temporarily safety the sliding bush (29) on the link (20) with the lockwire (f) Do not disconnect the link (20) from the support brackets of the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(5) Disconnect the rocker (40) from the rudder control frame (57):

USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pins (34).(b) Remove the nuts (33) and the washers (32).
(c) Remove the bolt (30) and the two sliding bushes (31).
(d) Remove the bolt (38) and the sliding bush (39).
(e) Disengage the rocker (40) from the rudder control frame (57).

(f) Temporarily safety the sliding bushes (31) and (39) on the rocker (40) with the lockwire (g) Do not disconnect the rocker (40) from the support brackets of the structure unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(6) Removal of the rudder trim actuator (8):
(a) Make sure that there are identification marks on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16).
(b) If there are no identification marks on electrical connectors A (18) and B (16), make identification marks on them.
NOTE: These identification marks are important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(c) Disconnect electrical connectors A (18) and B (16) from the receptacles (14) and (15). (d) Put the CAP - BLANKING on the receptacles (14) and (15) and electrical connectors A (18) and B (16).
(e) Do not disconnect the bonding straps (17) and (19) from electrical connectors A (18) and B (16) unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.

(h) Do not disconnect the bonding strap (2) from the bracket (12) unless a repair or a new installation is necessary.
(i) Remove the bolts (9) and the washers (10) from the rudder trim actuator (8).
(j) Move the rudder trim actuator (8) down and disengage the splined shaft (5) from the universal joint (13).
(k) Make sure that you do not turn the universal joint (13) until you install the rudder trim actuator (8) again.
(l) Carefully move the bottom part of the rudder control frame (57) rearward.
(m) Remove the rudder trim actuator (8) to the right side.
(7) If you will install the same rudder trim actuator (8), do these steps:
(a) Make sure that the mobile red index is in the zero position on the position indicator of the rudder trim actuator (8).
