3. Job Set-up
Subtask 26-23-42-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) If the installation of the cargo fire-extinguisher bottle is done after a discharge of the fire extinguishing agent:
   (2) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (3) Before the installation of the cargo fire-extinguisher bottle, do the weight check of the bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-23-41-280-001).
NOTE: If the cargo fire-extinguisher bottle was weighed in a short time before this installation it is not necessary to weigh it again.

B. Get Access
   (1) For the location of this component, refer to Para. Component Location (Ref. AMM D/O 26-23-00-00).
   (2) Make sure that the aft cargo-compartment door 826 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (3) Make sure that the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU is in the ON position.
   (4) Make sure that the sidewall panel 162AW is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
   (5) Make sure that the cartridge is installed on the fire extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-23-42-400-004).
   (6) Make sure that the protective cap is installed on the cartridge.
   (7) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (8) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

B. Get Access
   (1) For the location of this component, refer to Para. Component Location (Ref. AMM D/O 26-23-00-00).
   (2) Make sure that the aft cargo-compartment door 826 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (3) Make sure that the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU is in the ON position.
   (4) Make sure that the partition panel 161DW is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
   (5) Make sure that the cartridge is installed on the fire extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-23-42-400-004).
   (6) Make sure that the protective cap is installed on the cartridge.
   (7) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (8) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

4. Procedure
Subtask 26-23-42-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Cargo Fire-Extinguisher Bottle
   (1) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) to the upper brackets of the fire extinguisher bottle (1).
   (2) Install the fire extinguisher bottle (1) as follows:
WARNING: BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE A FULL FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE. A SUDDEN OR HEAVY SHOCK TO A FULL BOTTLE CAN CAUSE UNWANTED DISCHARGE AND INJURY TO PERSONS.
CAUTION: IF YOU MUST MOVE THE TOOL IN THE AIRCRAFT, BE CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE THE PEEL SHIMS OF THE SUPPORTS OF THE ADIRU MOUNT.
     (a) Hold the fire extinguisher bottle (1) in its correct installation position on the structure (16).
     (b) Install the bolts (6) and the nuts (17).
     (c) Tighten the nuts (17).
   (3) Remove the blanking plugs from:
  • The disconnected line ends
  • The safety relief valve (7)
  • The discharge heads (19).
   (4) Make sure that the discharge heads (19) are aligned with the flexible hoses (4).
   (5) TORQUE the coupling nuts (18) to between 6.8 and 5.4 m.daN (50.15 and 39.82 lbf.ft ) T.
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (6) Safety the coupling nuts (18) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
CAUTION: APPLY A SMALL QUANTITY OF THE CORRECT GREASE TO THE MALE THREADS OF THE CONNECTIONS. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE THREADS. MAKE SURE THAT GREASE DOES NOT GO INTO THE PIPES. GREASE IN THE PIPES CAN CAUSE A MALFUNCTION OF THE SYSTEM.
   (7) Apply a small quantity of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.
03GEE1) to the male threads of the safety relief valve (7) and the discharge heads (19).
   (8) Connect the flexible hose (14) to the safety relief valve (7).
   (9) TORQUE the nut (15) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft ) T.
   (10) Connect the flexible hoses (4) to the discharge heads (19).
   (11) TORQUE the nuts (5) to between 4.3 and 3.9 m.daN (31.71 and 28.76 lbf.ft )
T.
   (12) Install the bonding straps (24) and the nuts (23) on the ground lug bolts (25) (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (13) TORQUE the nuts (23) to between 0.35 and 0.3 m.daN (30.97 and 26.55 lbf.in ) T.
   (14) Make sure that you are grounded with the ELECTRICALLY GROUNDED WRIST STRAP.
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (15) Safety the cartridges (22) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
WARNING: BEFORE YOU TOUCH THE POWER DEVICE CARTRIDGE, MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE GROUNDED AND THAT YOU INSTALL A SHUNT DEVICE ON IT. USE A CAP OR PLUG AS SHUNT DEVICE (THE CAP OR PLUG WILL SHUNT THE PINS TOGETHER ON THE CARTRIDGE). DO NOT USE A FOIL SHUNT. IF YOU TOUCH A POWER DEVICE CARTRIDGE THAT DOES NOT HAVE A SHUNT DEVICE INSTALLED, AN EXPLOSION CAN OCCUR AND CAUSE INJURIES TO YOU.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE BONDING STRAP(S) IS(ARE) CONNECTED BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRE(S).
   (16) Connect the electrical connectors (2) and (21) as follows:
     (a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
     (b) Remove the protective caps (20) from the cartridges (22).
     (c) Connect the electrical connectors (21) to the cartridges (22).
     (d) Connect the electrical connector (2) to the pressure switch (3).
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (17) Safety the electrical connectors (21) with 14QEB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.6 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
   (18) Put the eye-end of the tie-rod (10) in position between the lugs of the fire extinguisher bottle (1).
   (19) If necessary, adjust the tie-rod as follows:
     (a) Loosen the lock nut (11) and remove the eye-end of the tie-rod (10) from the rod-end (13).
     (b) Remove and discard the lock washer (12).
     (c) Install the new
AIPC 26-23-04-02-080 LOCK WASHER (12) and the eye-end of the tie-rod (10) on the rod-end (13).
     (d) Adjust the tie-rod (10) until the bolt (9) goes through the eye-end of the tie-rod (10) and the lugs of the fire extinguisher bottle (1).
     (e) Tighten the lock nut (11).
     (f) Safety the lock nut (11) with the lock washer (12).
   (20) Install the bolt (9) and the nut (8).

A. Installation of the Cargo Fire-Extinguisher Bottle
   (1) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.
06AAC1) to the upper brackets of the fire extinguisher bottle (1).
   (2) Install the fire extinguisher bottle (1) as follows:
WARNING: BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE A FULL FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE. A SUDDEN OR HEAVY SHOCK TO A FULL BOTTLE CAN CAUSE UNWANTED DISCHARGE AND INJURY TO PERSONS.
     (a) Hold the fire extinguisher bottle (1) in its correct installation position on the structure (16).
     (b) Install the bolts (6) and the nuts (17).
   (3) Remove the blanking plugs from:
  • The disconnected line ends
  • The safety relief valve (7)
  • The discharge heads (19).
   (4) Make sure that the discharge heads (19) are aligned with the flexible hoses (4).
   (5) If the discharge heads (19) are not aligned, do the steps that follow:
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (a) Remove and discard the lockwire.
     (b) Loosen the coupling nuts (18).
     (c) Align the discharge heads (19) with the flexible hoses (4).
     (d) TORQUE the coupling nuts (18) to between 6.8 and 5.4 m.daN (50.15 and 39.82 lbf.ft ) T.
     (e) Safety the coupling nuts (18) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
CAUTION: APPLY A SMALL QUANTITY OF THE CORRECT GREASE TO THE MALE THREADS OF THE CONNECTIONS. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE THREADS. MAKE SURE THAT GREASE DOES NOT GO INTO THE PIPES. GREASE IN THE PIPES CAN CAUSE A MALFUNCTION OF THE SYSTEM.
   (6) Apply a small quantity of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.
03GEE1) to the male threads of the safety relief valve (7) and the discharge heads (19).
   (7) Connect the flexible hose (14) to the safety relief valve (7).
   (8) TORQUE the nut (15) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft ) T.
   (9) Connect the flexible hoses (4) to the discharge heads (19).
   (10) TORQUE the nuts (5) to between 4.3 and 3.9 m.daN (31.71 and 28.76 lbf.ft )
T.
   (11) Install the bonding straps (24) and the nuts (23) on the ground lug bolts (25) (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (12) TORQUE the nuts (23) to between 0.35 and 0.3 m.daN (30.97 and 26.55 lbf.in ) T.
   (13) Make sure that you are grounded with the ELECTRICALLY GROUNDED WRIST STRAP.
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (14) Safety the cartridges (22) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
WARNING: BEFORE YOU TOUCH THE POWER DEVICE CARTRIDGE, MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE GROUNDED AND THAT YOU INSTALL A SHUNT DEVICE ON IT. USE A CAP OR PLUG AS SHUNT DEVICE (THE CAP OR PLUG WILL SHUNT THE PINS TOGETHER ON THE CARTRIDGE). DO NOT USE A FOIL SHUNT. IF YOU TOUCH A POWER DEVICE CARTRIDGE THAT DOES NOT HAVE A SHUNT DEVICE INSTALLED, AN EXPLOSION CAN OCCUR AND CAUSE INJURIES TO YOU.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE BONDING STRAP(S) IS(ARE) CONNECTED BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRE(S).
   (15) Connect the electrical connectors (2) and (21) as follows:
     (a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
     (b) Remove the protective caps (20) from the cartridges (22).
     (c) Connect the electrical connectors (21) to the cartridges (22).
     (d) Connect the electrical connector (2) to the pressure switch (3).
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (16) Safety the electrical connectors (21) with 14QEB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.6 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
   (17) Put the eye-end of the tie-rod (10) in position between the lugs of the fire extinguisher bottle (1).
   (18) If necessary, adjust the tie-rod as follows:
     (a) Loosen the lock nut (11) and remove the eye-end of the tie-rod (10) from the rod-end (13).
     (b) Remove and discard the lock washer (12).
     (c) Install the new
AIPC 26-23-04-07-090 LOCK WASHER (12) or AIPC 26-23-84-07-245 LOCK WASHER (12) and the eye-end of the tie-rod (10) on the rod-end (13).
     (d) Adjust the tie-rod (10) until the bolt (9) goes through the eye-end of the tie-rod (10) and the lugs that are on the fire extinguisher bottle (1).
     (e) Tighten the lock nut (11).
     (f) Safety the lock nut (11) with the lock washer (12).
   (19) Install the bolt (9) and the nut (8).

A. Installation of the Cargo Fire-Extinguisher Bottle
   (1) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.
06AAC1) to the upper brackets of the fire extinguisher bottle (1)
   (2) Install the fire extinguisher bottle (1) as follows:
WARNING: BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE A FULL FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE. A SUDDEN OR HEAVY SHOCK TO A FULL BOTTLE CAN CAUSE UNWANTED DISCHARGE AND INJURY TO PERSONS.
     (a) Hold the fire extinguisher bottle (1) in its correct installation position on the structure (16).
     (b) Install the bolts (7), the washers (17) and the nuts (18).
   (3) Remove the blanking plugs from:
  • The disconnected line ends
  • The safety relief valve (15)
  • The discharge heads (20).
   (4) Make sure that the discharge heads (20) are aligned with the flexible hoses (4).
   (5) If the discharge heads (20) are not aligned, do the steps that follow:
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (a) Remove and discard the lockwire.
     (b) Loosen the coupling nuts (19).
     (c) Align the discharge heads (20) with the flexible hoses (4).
     (d) TORQUE the coupling nuts (19) to between 6.8 and 5.4 m.daN (50.15 and 39.82 lbf.ft ) T.
     (e) Safety the coupling nuts (19) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
CAUTION: APPLY A SMALL QUANTITY OF THE CORRECT GREASE TO THE MALE THREADS OF THE CONNECTIONS. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE THREADS. MAKE SURE THAT GREASE DOES NOT GO INTO THE PIPES. GREASE IN THE PIPES CAN CAUSE A MALFUNCTION OF THE SYSTEM.

   (9) Connect the flexible hoses (4) to the discharge heads (20).
   (10) TORQUE the nuts (5) to between 4.3 and 3.9 m.daN (31.71 and 28.76 lbf.ft )

   (11) Install the bonding straps (25) and the nuts (24) on the ground lug bolts (26) (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (12) TORQUE the nuts (24) to between 0.35 and 0.3 m.daN (30.97 and 26.55 lbf.in ) T.
   (13) Make sure that you are grounded with the ELECTRICALLY GROUNDED WRIST STRAP.

   (14) Safety the cartridges (23) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
WARNING: BEFORE YOU TOUCH THE POWER DEVICE CARTRIDGE, MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE GROUNDED AND THAT YOU INSTALL A SHUNT DEVICE ON IT. USE A CAP OR PLUG AS SHUNT DEVICE (THE CAP OR PLUG WILL SHUNT THE PINS TOGETHER ON THE CARTRIDGE). DO NOT USE A FOIL SHUNT. CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE BONDING STRAP(S) IS(ARE) CONNECTED BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRE(S).
   (15) Connect the electrical connectors (2) and (22) as follows:
     (a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
     (b) Remove the protective caps (21) from the cartridges (23).
     (c) Connect the electrical connectors (22) to the cartridges (23).
     (d) Connect the electrical connector (2) to the pressure switch (3).
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (16) Safety the electrical connectors (22) with 14QEB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.6 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
   (17) Put the eye-end of the tie-rod (9) in position between the lugs of the fire extinguisher bottle (1).
   (18) If necessary, adjust the tie-rod (9) as follows:
     (a) Loosen the lock nut (10) and remove the eye-end of the tie-rod (9) from the rod-end (12).
     (b) Remove and discard the lock washer (11).
     (c) Install the new
AIPC 26-23-04-07-090 LOCK WASHER (11) or AIPC 26-23-84-07-245 LOCK WASHER (11) and the eye-end of the tie-rod (9) on the rod-end (12).
     (d) Adjust the tie-rod (9) until the bolt (6) goes through the eye-end of the tie-rod (9) and the lugs that are on the fire extinguisher bottle (1).
     (e) Tighten the lock nut (10).
     (f) Safety the lock nut (10) with the lock washer (11).
   (19) Install the bolt (6) and the nut (8).

A. Installation of the Cargo Fire-Extinguisher Bottle
WARNING: BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE A FULL FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE. A SUDDEN OR HEAVY SHOCK TO A FULL BOTTLE CAN CAUSE UNWANTED DISCHARGE AND INJURY TO PERSONS.
   (1) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.
06AAC1) to the upper brackets of the fire extinguisher bottle (1).
   (2) Hold the fire extinguisher bottle (1) in its correct installation position on the structure (16).
   (3) Install the bolts (7), the washers (17) and the nuts (18).
   (4) TORQUE the nuts (18) to between 1.79 and 1.38 m.daN (13.20 and 10.18 lbf.ft ) T.
   (5) Remove the blanking plugs from:
  • The disconnected line ends
  • The safety relief valve (15)
  • The discharge heads (20).
   (6) Make sure that the discharge heads (20) are aligned with the flexible hoses (4).
   (7) If the discharge heads (20) are not aligned, do the steps that follow:

     (a) Remove and discard the lockwire.
     (b) Loosen the coupling nuts (19).
     (c) Align the discharge heads (20) with the flexible hoses (4).
     (d) TORQUE the coupling nuts (19) to between 7.5 and 6.1 m.daN (55.31 and 44.98 lbf.ft )

     (e) Safety the coupling nuts (19) with the 14QGC1Wire-Locking Dia: 1 mm (0.041 inch) CRES -.
CAUTION: APPLY A SMALL QUANTITY OF THE CORRECT GREASE TO THE MALE THREADS OF THE CONNECTIONS. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE THREADS. MAKE SURE THAT GREASE DOES NOT GO INTO THE PIPES. GREASE IN THE PIPES CAN CAUSE A MALFUNCTION OF THE SYSTEM.
   (8) Apply a small quantity of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.
03GEE1) to the male threads of the safety relief valve (15) and the discharge heads (20).
   (9) Connect the flexible hose (13) to the safety relief valve (15).
   (10) TORQUE the nut (14) to between 1.3 and 1.2 m.daN (115.04 and 106.19 lbf.in ) T.
   (11) Connect the flexible hoses (4) to the discharge heads (20).
   (12) TORQUE the nuts (5) to between 4.3 and 3.9 m.daN (31.71 and 28.76 lbf.ft )

   (13) Install the bonding straps (25) and the nuts (24) on the ground lug bolts (26) (

     (b) Connect the electrical connector (2) to the pressure switch (3).
     (c) Remove the protective caps (22) from the cartridges (21) and connect the electrical connectors (23) to the cartridges (21).
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (d) Safety the electrical connectors (23) with the 14QEB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.6 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
   (18) Put the eye-end of the tie-rod (9) in position between the lugs of the fire extinguisher bottle (1).
   (19) If necessary, adjust the tie-rod (9) as follows:
     (a) Loosen the locknut (10) and remove the eye-end of the tie-rod (9) from the rod-end (12).
     (b) Unfold the lugs of the lockwasher (11).
     (c) Remove and discard the lockwasher (11).
     (d) Install the new
AIPC 26-23-04-07-175 WASHER (11) or AIPC 26-23-84-07-245 WASHER (11) and the eye-end of the tie-rod (9) on the rod-end (12).
     (e) Adjust the tie-rod (9) until the bolt (6) goes through the eye-end of the tie-rod (9) and the lugs on the fire extinguisher bottle (1).
     (f) Tighten the locknut (10).
     (g) Safety the locknut (10) with the lockwasher (11).
   (20) Install the bolt (6) and the nut (8).
   (21) TORQUE the nut (8) to between 1.06 and 0.82 m.daN (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in )
