A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the zone 825.
(2) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

(2) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the forward cargo compartment door 825 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU is in the ON position.
(3) Make sure that the protection panel 132MW is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003).
(4) Make sure that the shunt plugs are installed on the cartridges.
Subtask 26-23-41-010-060-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the forward cargo compartment door 825 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU is in the ON position.
(3) Make sure that the protection panel 132MW is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003).
(4) Make sure that the shunt plugs are installed on the cartridges.
B. Get Access
(1) If an Additional Center Tank (ACT) is installed:
(a) Make sure that cabin floor panel 231VF is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-12-000-001).
(b) Make sure that ceiling panel 131CC is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-002).
(c) Make sure that sidewall panel 132MW is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003).
(2) If the ACT is not installed:
(a) Make sure that forward cargo-compartment door 825 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Make sure that CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU is in the ON position.
(c) Make sure that sidewall panel 132MW is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003).
(3) Make sure that the shunt plugs are installed on the cartridges.
Subtask 26-23-41-010-060-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If an Additional Center Tank (ACT) is installed:

(a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.

(1) Make sure that you are grounded with the ELECTRICALLY GROUNDED WRIST STRAP.WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE FRANGIBLE DISC IN THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE. DAMAGE TO THE FRANGIBLE DISC CAN CAUSE UNWANTED DISCHARGE AND INJURY TO PERSONS.
(2) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the discharge head (1). (3) Install the cartridge (4) as follows:
WARNING:
BEFORE YOU TOUCH THE POWER DEVICE CARTRIDGE, MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE GROUNDED AND THAT YOU INSTALL A SHUNT DEVICE ON IT. USE A CAP OR PLUG AS SHUNT DEVICE (THE CAP OR PLUG WILL SHUNT THE PINS TOGETHER ON THE CARTRIDGE). DO NOT USE A FOIL SHUNT.
IF YOU TOUCH A POWER DEVICE CARTRIDGE THAT DOES NOT HAVE A SHUNT DEVICE INSTALLED, AN EXPLOSION CAN OCCUR AND CAUSE INJURIES TO YOU.
(a) Install the ground lug bolt (7) on the cartridge (4). (b) Install the new AIPC 26-23-41-01-030 O-RING (2).
(c) Loosely install the cartridge (4) in the discharge head (1).
(d) TORQUE the cartridge (4) to between 100 and 90 lbf.in (1.13 and 1.02 m.daN )
. (e) Loosely install the bonding strap (3) and the nut (6) on the ground lug bolt (7) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

(g) Safety the cartridge (4) with the CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(4) Connect the electrical connector (5) as follows: (a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
WARNING:
BEFORE YOU TOUCH THE POWER DEVICE CARTRIDGE, MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE GROUNDED AND THAT YOU INSTALL A SHUNT DEVICE ON IT. USE A CAP OR PLUG AS SHUNT DEVICE (THE CAP OR PLUG WILL SHUNT THE PINS TOGETHER ON THE CARTRIDGE). DO NOT USE A FOIL SHUNT.

(b) Remove the shunt plug from the cartridge (4). CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE BONDING STRAP(S) IS(ARE) CONNECTED BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR(S).

(5) Remove the shunt plugs from the cartridges (14) and (7). CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE BONDING STRAP(S) IS(ARE) CONNECTED BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR(S).
(6) Connect the electrical connectors as follows: (a) Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connector (15).
(b) Connect the electrical connector (15) to the cartridge (14).
(c) Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connector (8).
(d) Connect the electrical connector (8) to the cartridge (7).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(2) Install the sidewall panel 132MW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-003).
(3) Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to the OFF position.

(5) Remove the access platform(s).

(2) Install the sidewall panel 132MW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-003).
(3) Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to the OFF position.
(4) Close the forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the sidewall panel 132SW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-003).
(3) Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to the OFF position.
(4) Close the forward cargo compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).

(c) Install ceiling panel 131CC on the cargo compartment (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-002).
(d) Install cabin floor panel 231VF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-12-400-001).
(2) If the ACT is not installed:
(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(b) Install sidewall panel 132MW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-003).
(c) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to OFF.
(d) Close forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(e) Remove the access platform(s).

(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

(d) Install cabin floor panel 231VF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-12-400-001).
(2) If the ACT is not installed:
(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(b) Install sidewall panel 132MW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-003).
(c) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to OFF.
(d) Close forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(e) Remove the access platform(s).
B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
