A. Removal of the Cargo Fire-Extinguisher Bottle
   (1) Remove the fire extinguisher bottle (4005WX) as follows:
     (a) Make sure that you are grounded with the ELECTRICALLY GROUNDED WRIST STRAP.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (b) Disconnect the electrical connectors (22) as follows:
WARNING: BEFORE YOU TOUCH THE POWER DEVICE CARTRIDGE, MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE GROUNDED AND THAT YOU INSTALL A SHUNT DEVICE ON IT. USE A CAP OR PLUG AS SHUNT DEVICE (THE CAP OR PLUG WILL SHUNT THE PINS TOGETHER ON THE CARTRIDGE). DO NOT USE A FOIL SHUNT. IF YOU TOUCH A POWER DEVICE CARTRIDGE THAT DOES NOT HAVE A SHUNT DEVICE INSTALLED, AN EXPLOSION CAN OCCUR AND CAUSE INJURIES TO YOU.
1 Disconnect the electrical connectors (22) from the cartridges (23).
2 Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
       3 Put the 2-100831-1 PLUG-SHUNT (21) on the cartridges (23).
NOTE: The M83723-60-110AN PROTECTIVE CAP-FIRE EXTINGUISHER CARTRIDGE can be used as an alternative to the 2-100831-1 PLUG-SHUNT.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR(S) IS(ARE) DISCONNECTED BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE BONDING STRAP(S).
     (c) Remove the nuts (24) and the bonding straps (25) from the ground lug bolts (26).
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (d) Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the pressure switch (3).
     (e) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
     (f) Loosen the nuts (5) and disconnect the flexible hoses (4) from the discharge heads (20):
1 Do not remove the safety beaded chain that is installed on the flexible hoses (4). This prevents the cross-connection of the cartridge electrical connectors.
     (g) Put the PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends and the discharge heads (20).
     (h) Loosen the nut (15) and disconnect the flexible hose (14) from the safety relief valve (16).
     (i) Put the PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line end and the safety relief valve (16).
     (j) Remove the nut (8) and the bolt (10) and then move the tie-rod (9) away from the fire extinguisher bottle (1).
     (k) Remove the fire extinguisher bottle (1) as follows:
WARNING: BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE A FULL FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE. A SUDDEN OR HEAVY SHOCK TO A FULL BOTTLE CAN CAUSE UNWANTED DISCHARGE AND INJURY TO PERSONS.
1 Hold the fire extinguisher bottle (1) and remove the nuts (6), the washers (7) and the bolts (18).
2 Remove the fire extinguisher bottle (1) and put it on an applicable support.
   (2) Remove the fire extinguisher bottle (4010WX) as follows:
     (a) Make sure that you are grounded with the ELECTRICALLY GROUNDED WRIST STRAP.
