B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the FWD cargo-compartment door 825.
(2) Open the FWD cargo compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to the ON position.
(4) Remove the protection panel 132MW.
Subtask 26-23-14-010-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the FWD cargo-compartment door 825.
(2) Open the FWD cargo compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to the ON position.
(4) Remove the protection panel 132MW.
B. Get Access
(1) For aircraft without Additional Center Tanks (ACT) 1 and 2 installed:
(a) Open aft cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the ON position.
(c) Remove sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
(2) For aircraft with ACT 1 and 2 installed:
(a) In the aft cabin, remove the center textile-floor covering between frames 62 and 64 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-000-001).
(b) Remove floor panel 251DH (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-12-000-001).
(c) Remove access panel 161EC from the ceiling of the aft cargo compartment.
(d) In the bulk cargo compartment, remove sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
4. Procedure(1) For aircraft without Additional Center Tanks (ACT) 1 and 2 installed:
(a) Open aft cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the ON position.
(c) Remove sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
(2) For aircraft with ACT 1 and 2 installed:
(a) In the aft cabin, remove the center textile-floor covering between frames 62 and 64 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-000-001).
(b) Remove floor panel 251DH (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-12-000-001).
(c) Remove access panel 161EC from the ceiling of the aft cargo compartment.
(d) In the bulk cargo compartment, remove sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).

A. Removal of the Halon Filter
(2) Remove the lockwire:
(3) Remove the unions (3) from the halon filter (1).
(5) Remove the screws (7) and the washers (6).
(6) Remove the halon filter (1).
(7) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(8) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the open ports of the halon filter (1).
NOTE: The removal procedure is the same for the halon filters 5010WM and 5011WM.
(1) Loosen the nuts (4) and disconnect the pipes (5) from the halon filter (1). (2) Remove the lockwire:
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the unions (3). (3) Remove the unions (3) from the halon filter (1).
NOTE: Retain the unions (3) for the installation.
(4) Remove and discard the O-rings (2). (5) Remove the screws (7) and the washers (6).
(6) Remove the halon filter (1).
(7) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(8) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the open ports of the halon filter (1).
